I'm using theme #012 on my blog "horseless-headman" b/c neither #008 or #009 were working - no images I uploaded for sidebars or backgrounds showed up - but it's still happening. At least with #012 that little square "no image available" error thing comes up in place of the sidebar pic. I've tried using a variety of pictures sizes, pixel numbers, resolutions, etc, but nothing is working. Do you have any idea how to fix this? I reaaallyyy love your themes, but I also want a sidebar image!
It can only be a tumblr bug, you could wait it out or upload your image somewhere (like a private text post, or photobucket or something) and insert it manually into the theme code. For that, find this:
and replace {image:sidebarimg} with the URL of your image, like so:
just note that after this you won't be able to change your image via uploading it in the Appearance tab.
