Mermaid AU

[ He's a jellyfish-based merman! Frillish, if you'd like to keep it Pokeverse. Think something similar to this--same sort of tail, somewhat smaller bell, faintly bioluminescent if you pay close attention to his chest.

Some of the others tend to be wary around him because he looks rather conspicuously different from the general merpopulation, and sometimes there are whispers about how you shouldn't get too close because he'll sting you (whether or not he means to depends on the person telling the story), but for the most part he's okay with keeping that distance. It's kinda hard to miss something you never really had, after all. ]

He hadn't been looking, not really. He had just been going about the place after his training session. He hadn't really been looking. But that didn't mean he wasn't going to react if he did see the other. And by a stroke of luck, or no luck for the mechanic...

Well, he was a tall person, no doubt. Hard to miss really. The Luxray aside him gave him a cautious glance, noticing the way Michael's face had hardened.

There was a rumbling sound given, a light nudge to the hip, Mumble was ready to grasp the other by the sleeve. And his teeth snapped into thin air as Michael darted forward, bringing back his arm before propelling his fist forward to land a punch to his face.
