           The war was over, that war at least. He had DIED in front of the eyes of the whole world. His friends had mourned, sought to avenge him. Only, well, he hadn’t died. Not really. Displaced in time, watching the past and so many endless possible futures spinning out of his control. There was so much in those futures that he never hoped to see, that he would make sure never came to pass. First, though, it was time to mend burned bridges.

                     “Tony. Put the bottle down.”
