You’re hiding from patrols when you find it. Wedged between two garbage receptacles and hidden under some cardboard boxes, a large Personal Guard Unit sits. You’re not sure what idiot would dump such a high-tech and expensive unit, but you’re definitely not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. It takes a while for the patrol drones to give up on finding you again, but when they do, you make quick work of figuring out a way to get it back to your hideout.
It takes all week for you to get it up and running again, but you know it will be well worth it. P.G.U’s are tough. Even the lesser equipped P.G.U’s are priceless when it comes to defence, and with the resistance fights currently going on in the lower class areas, you could do with the protection.
This unit looks to have a heavy artillery, and looks in almost perfect condition. Its not until you finally have it booted up, and are looking at its programming, that you realise why the thing was scrapped. You’re not sure how but it has thoughts, feelings, a personality.
Suddenly you don’t have just a high piece of tech, you have a highly intelligent, sentient, mechanical, being, who already seems attached to you.
