Lightning Bolt - The Metal East (Audio) Single

Still to this day the loudest band I've seen live as well as Sonic Youth. LB's latest offering ‘The Metal East’ is a manic claustrophobic monster of a racket. The ripping noise sounds like a constant loop of menacing chaos! The vocal sounds like it's being hurled through a megaphone of death, with flat out drumming, lots of off beat timings, and the bass howling with feedback. Put it this way, it wouldn't go down too well at the family dinner table. If I could compare it to anyone, it would have to be The Melvins, but even they would seem tame next to this. I love the climb towards the end, amazing..!!
