forgive me if I am slow to reply. Sinus infection, double ear infection, possibly strep throat, definitely bronchitis... I’ll be lurking, but don’t expect too much from me.

Aden Elric: Avara feels a kind of protective attachment toward the wayward Elric twin. She can understand his feelings of loneliness and the fear of becoming something beyond his control. Whenever possible, she tries to get him out of “work”, so that he can take a break.

“You may not have told me much about ‘im, but I know enough to figure draggin’ ‘im here is a bad idea. ‘Sides, we had enough trouble catching your other brother. There’s no way you can make him go anywhere by yourself.”

A silly question, really. Life’s been dull without one such as Greed in his surroundings. After enough silence, he’d simply assumed that he’d been forgotten for a shiny new toy. As such, he suffers only further surprise at the sin’s appearance.“I… yeah.” Maybe more than he’d even admitted to himself, now that the absence has been filled.
But, no need to show such tenderness to Greed. With an upturn of nose, Aden snidely jabs, “You had better have a good explanation for leaving for so long. You said I could stay with you, and yet you go run off! Maybe you’re a liar after all.”
Alright, maybe he deserved that one. How long had it been? Months at least, maybe even half a year. But a liar? That was one thing Greed hasn’t changed his mind about avoiding becoming. Then again, maybe saying that he wants to keep Aden and then being away for so long sort of toes the line.
So the homunculus heaves a sigh and pulls back to lift his weight from the boy’s shoulders and cross his arms loosely over his chest. “I guess I got a little tied up. Tried to get back here sooner, but it didn’t really work out all that well. Maybe I lost track of time or something.” It’s possible considering his age and immortality, but that isn’t something he wants to think too deeply about right now.
“Hey.” Already he seems to have given up keeping his hands to himself and drapes an arm back over the blond’s shoulders to drag him closer. “I didn’t forget about you, you know. I came back, didn’t I?” The homunculus gives him a half smirk. “How about I find a way to make it up to you?”
