Given the circumstances Tony felt like he probably should have been the one that had gone in for that kiss, not Carol. But for the time in quite a while Tony found himself a little lost for words. He blinked when the kiss broke, eyes still on her as if he was trying to read exactly what was going through her head. Had that just happened or had he imagined it? 

It had happened. It wasn’t the lack of oxygen he’d been experiencing that had made him delusional. 

“I feel like I probably should have been the one kissing you since you just saved my life.” 

The tips of his fingers were still lingering on her sides. How long had he gone without speaking? “That was a lot.” He paused but his eyes didn’t move from her. “I’m gonna kiss you this time. Good? Good.” That time his hands raised to cup her cheeks and Tony pulled her in closer as he stepped in and locked their lips together in a kiss.

         Sigyn wasn’t sure what had prompted Thor and his friends to invite her, of all people, to join them for a night of revelry out at one of the various taverns in Asgard, but she was immensely grateful. Although she often preferred to spend her evenings quiet and alone in her chambers, she had to admit to herself this was a pleasant change of pace. She doubted she’d make a habit of it, but truth be told, she’d had a great deal of fun drinking and listening to the exaggerated stories they boasted about, loudly. She knew she’d cherish the memories she’d made this evening.

Somehow, while they were making their way back to the palace, crossing over a less traveled bridge, someone had teasingly commented that Sigyn seemed to be quite intoxicated, given how she couldn’t seem to manage to walk in a straight line. She has openly scoffed at the accusation, and out of sheer stubbornness, decided to challenge it. The surest way to get Sigyn to do something was to tell her that she couldn’t.

Huffing in indignation, she waved her arms adamantly as she spoke. ❛ I’ll prove it to you! To all of you! I’m not that drunk! Watch! ❜ Sigyn hoisted herself up, climbing atop the railing of the bridge, holding her arms out for balance. ❛ I’m going to walk the rest of the way across on the railing and then you’ll see! ❜ She smirked amid groans of protest below her, determined to prove her lack of inebriation. It would have worked, too, if only. . . 

❛ Hah! ❜ She cried triumphantly, having made it to the end of the bridge. Unfortunately, when she turned sharply to face the others, her foot slipped on the railing, and though she tried to regain her balance, she ended up toppling backward. ❛ Whoashit!! ❜ Sigyn mumbled, slamming her eyes shut as she realized her evening was about to take a very different, very drenched, turn. But her impact with the water below never came.

Sigyn cracked one eye open, then the other. She quickly became aware that she was dangling midair, suspended by. . . Glancing up, she saw Thor, looking only slightly panicked as he held her hand in his strong grip. She winced apologetically at him. ❛ Oops. . . Sorry!! ❜

“I’m so exhausted I don’t feel tired anymore.” 

“I don’t think that’s a good thing.” Loki replied while looking at the larger god. “Why don’t you rest for a small while and see if that makes you feel better?” While he hasn’t had much sleep himself, he was more concerned about Thor’s well-being over his own. Least for the time being.

Wade expected to be shut down straight off the bat, and could not believe he was still uninjured. A part from the mental damage, but that’s not Thor’s fault. He leaned closer and said; “Before I present my conundrum, I would just like to say that it’s an honour, and you are by far my favourite god. By far.” he straightened up again and cleared his throat. 

“So we both know I can’t lift your hammer. Right?” he allowed it a couple of seconds and looked up at Thor hopefully. “Loki made that painfully evident, once... I’m still in therapy. My actual feelings were actually hurt. Anyways. I was wondering what would happen if I lifted you while you were holding the hammer. I know you’re big and bulky and oh so beautiful, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to lift you like...” he looked Thor over a couple of times. “A few centimeters off the ground. We could conduct it like a scientific experiment. I could lift you without the hammer, then with the hammer, and see if there’s a significant difference. Have you ever played Pass the Pigs? Also it’d benefit you - I’m a fan, after all. What would happen if a villain learned these secrets?”
