“I’m sorry- you wanna run that by me again?” Emma asked with a bit of defense in her tone. Her nose scrunching slightly as her eyes narrowed and arms folded in front of her. Clearly hoping she misunderstood what the other woman said.

Emma grinned as they stopped in front of the big hotel of Disney. She had managed to snag up a good room at a good price and with tickets. And the got tickets to universal. 

“Okay. I’m going to check us in. would you guys want to look around while I take care of the paperwork here? It’s a pretty big hotel and I hear there are mermaids in the pool.”

Even before Emma opened her eyes, she knew she was the victim of her own bad decisions the night before. Her mouth was dry, and head was beginning to pound--- She was well aware of the symptoms of a hangover. Not only that, but something was... Off. The satin sheets felt foreign on her skin, and a familiar scent lingered in the air, a perfume that was too familiar but Emma couldn’t quite place it.

Until it all came rushing back. Oh no. 

Forcing her eyes open, Emma sat up quickly. One hand pressed against her forehead as if that would rid her of the migraine she was experiencing, while the other held the sheet to her chest in an attempt to maintain some semblance of decency, if that was even possible. She glanced at the brunette laying at her side and the memories seemed even more vivid than before. Emma had it all engraved on her brain, the feel and taste of Regina’s skin, the way her voice sounded when laced with ecstasy. Crap--- She was waking up, wasn’t she? Emma panicked. In that panic, she cleared her throat. What else was she supposed to do? Cheerily greet her with an innocent good morning? That wasn’t happening.

Emma pawed at the band of leather around her neck. It was thick and snug, and as she knelt there, looking up at Regina, she tilted her head. Almost the perfect image of a curious pup. “Why not?” It was a feeling she wasn’t quite used to, but she also didn’t dislike it, either.
