I feel like many designers actually disappointed me last season, like Murad made a collection that looked like an Elie Saab one. They all kinda need to renovate themselves a bit imho. Versace did and OMG, perfection!
are we the the same person?!? i think we agree on almost every single thing when it comes to fashion lol. but yeah, versace was really starting to annoy me but this couture collection has won me back. it was so perfect, literally everything about it was perfect. i hope the rest of this week and the shows in September wow me as well

they never come with a warning, just when you think you can’t possibly get emotional over a scene you’ve already watched a hundred times BAM FEEELLSSSS
Their chemistry is insane. I usually don’t ship pairings who are already together but man do these two know how to keep their dynamic fascinating. Even their silence is a master piece.

I’ll send them a message :) Thank youu
Eleanor as key antagonist in S3
While in conversation with themiseducationofb, I mentioned that I feel Eleanor is going to be a key player on the side of civilization in their struggle against piracy. There are a couple of reasons why I’m speculating this option:
Firstly, after what happened recently she basically wanted to exterminate the pirates altogether in episode 9. That's the main reason, I feel. Back in Season 1 and even early Season 2, her goals were to find an alternative to piracy, to find a way in which the pirates can become PART of the solution, like Thomas envisioned.
But now? Her stance is just get rid of them all. She says it outright to Underhill. That she will be the end of piracy and it begins now. I think she's come to the realization that no matter what she does to rehabilitate the island, there are always going to be extremists like Vane/Jack etc who will try to jeopardize her goals for the place, there is always going to be that resistance from a sect of pirates. I feel, right now, in her head the only solution is basically get rid of ALL of them. What Vane has started is probably her realizing that it was just never ever going to be as simple as trying to convince pirates to relinquish their way of life for something better, because for some of them, piracy IS the better option, because it means freedom. I think she's taking that fact more and more into account.
It also doesn't help that it was pirates who handed her over to the British as well. So there's that personal reason as well, but I feel it's less of a contributing factor.
Lastly, the only way she can convince the British of her vision is if she decides to aid them in dealing with the issue of piracy in Nassau. It might be her only way to avoid a trial and execution, but I feel it's also something she really wants at this point? Only thing in her way is how to convince them that she's on their side now, despite her history. In fact, she might use her previous position on the island as an asset to assist the British, because who else knows the inner workings of the place better than her? Nobody. So she's definitely someone the British will want on their side for the time being.
What I feel is... that right now she will genuinely BE on the side of England because that's the only way she can save Nassau, and she will put her knowledge at their disposal while simultaneously ensuring her survival... Eventually, right when she feels convinced that she's "safe" from her previous allegation of being the "queen of thieves", the British will betray her. Basically use her as long as she proves useful in bringing Nassau in line, and then trying to get rid of her. While Eleanor is believing this to be a way of ensuring her future as possibly Nassau's Governor or something, the British were really just using her all along, implying that they've overlooked her past, but only proving by the very end that they were using her.
Does this make any sense? I feel this eye opener for Eleanor will come by the very end of Season 3, and I feel we will see her aid the British throughout Season 3. After she realizes she placed faith on the wrong team, it'll be too late, and I feel the very thing she's fighting against - piracy - will end up being her true savior. Possibly Vane n co barges in at the last moment and saves her maybe? Just a little theory of mine ;)
themiseducationofb: I think it’s present time, although I do feel some time will pass and that the time lines for Eleanor and the pirates will be different.
Because Vane has a new look for Season 3 too, Zach has more facial hair now and so does Silver. Like they’ve all gone more rugged so I think there will be a time jump but not necessarily a long time - maybe a few months?
all i was saying is that it’s messed up to find a rapist (he’s obviously a rapist if he done all of those things and sent his men to rape max...), murderer, misogynist etc. sweet... and that the quote “i killed them all to protect you.” shouldn’t be seen as sweet. i obviously expect slaughter in a show about pirates... but it’s still not sweet to kill people?? even if you’re doing it for someone else...? obviously??
also i wasn’t expecting knitting and poetry. stop treating me like a child. i’m only slightly triggered by rape scenes... okay, bye.

answered: That shirt looks like something Richard would wear tbh, but I might be wrong.I also don’t think pirates would get/want such funerals. And the place is undoubtly the fort. If it’s Richard, I don’t know why he’s on a cross tho, maybe cause of Vane?
Yikes, if that's the fort than the chances of Vane killing R. Guthrie is pretty high. Although, like you said I don't see him killing him just because. I really hope that's not him on it but someone random.
Although I have a feeling that Vane abandons the fort altogether before this happens. It's destroyed, plus after losing Abigail his men would want to take some sort of action against everyone responsible. So I feel he either takes Flint's ship or does something else. In any case, he's sailing out at some point, isn't he? So that would leave the fort kinda empty and maybe the British kill R.Guthrie and put him up on the fort as a warning to the island. Maybe R. Guthrie went as a messenger to the British navy camped close by to maybe negotiate with them, which ends up badly. And they use his body as a warning and prop it up in the empty fort. I mean it's obviously there for people to see, otherwise they'd just dump him in the sea or bury him.
So Vane leaves and the British send R. Guthrie's body as a warning.
