//you should do what you like. Over thinking ruins inspiration. All this about tact and respect...i see nothing insulting in what you think. If someone wants to get insulted they will and nothing you can do about it. But it's your blog, and if you can't do what you wish and how you wish it then what's the point. You feel me?
//I’d like to think that since this is an open platform we have a responsibility to be polite though?
Like not to say that you are wrong. Objectively this is my blog, and if I wished to make Yi a cis female forever, for example, then so be it. I could to it, and I might alienate people in doing it, but I could still do it. It certainly would alienate me though because gosh that’s terrible. That’s really not the point to me though.
The point to me is that this is a shared discussion forum I would say. A place where I have come specifically to share my ideas and have them seen, critiqued or expanded upon in a collaborative writing format. Isn’t that why most of us are here? I don’t want to bring something into here that’s so left field it makes people leave who otherwise would have enjoyed my content, even if I want said something, then subsequently justify it as ‘It’s my own blog.’ That seems unfair to the people who follow me for whatever reason they follow me.
So that’s why I formatted my wistful thinking formally at least. Perhaps overthinking does ruin the inspiration, but I’d like to think at least in overthinking I have warned people who may feel insulted as to what they should expect from me. They are still my woes, but I have a general idea about the culture of this forum and I respect it enough to at least voice my grievances correctly when it comes to my AU ideas.
Again, I am totally open to a discussion / opinions on such things from trans and cis and non binary and any people alike. It’s good to have talks about this when its not in a drama format.
