I.. I think I created a thing, I’m not sure what. One of the prompts sortof, Tul doing things with his thorn vines, and like usual bleeding himself dry doing so. @thenaaru
DNA & Fear for any muse of your chosing!
I was feeling warriorboi - Veshale for this one.
DNA. -What was your muses home life like?
I play around with Veshale’s early years a lot. He has a lot of wiggle-room as not exactly a character I flesh out or bring around a lot since his purpose is as a villainous plot-push when needed/desired.
I spoke to @jessipalooza about this but I’m tossing around the concept of having him have been the street urchin that Thanidiel disfigured in my First Blood snippet and me and her fleshed out the story/potential rivalry between those characters a lot in a scene between Bricini and Thanidiel that focused on childhood.
It’s a really enticing idea for me, tbh. It supports his character aesthetic a lot because I give him scary animal-like helmets etc that cover his entire face and a Thanidiel - Veshale rivalry throughout the military would be really cool to write from his perspective. The Achilles to her Bean.
FEAR. -What are your muses biggest fears?
For Veshale, his biggest fear is a loss of direction. He’s a pretty fucking dumb person, to be honest. Rabid dog/wolf imagery comes up a lot concerning this character. He needs a collar and he needs someone holding it. He flounders without it, his life descends into complete and utter anarchy. He has no purpose other than to serve someone else’s.
Which is why he’s so easily taken advantage of by other characters and groups, especially those with bad intent who are less guiding and vague and more ‘enact my will in these steps.’

“Tae throwing a rock at his head because HE DESERVES IT >8)“ Still rude, but yes he do. It just reminded me so much of the moment in Emperor’s New Groove where Kuzco chucks a rock at Pacha’s head. So here we are. @thenaaru
⭐️ buh
Thanidiel has seen the difficulty Avie has in her poise sometimes, on the front lines, during their most stressful of battles together in the cavalry. The Phoenix Guard’s personal sense of obligation towards her fellows leads her to instill a lot of bravado into the younger elf.
This includes her usual, stoic, confidence, during battle itself as they communicate - but it also includes her pumping up Avie beforehand by talking on old war stories towards soldiers in both armies. Depending on the circumstances, it’ll either be a story of victory against overwhelming odds, or a story of hard decisions leading to positive results. She’ll also make it a point to take up Avie after on her usual exclamations that everyone goes drinking.

The sunny beach is 100% the most appropriate place for some drinkie drinks!
Even numbers for Lori!
JESUS AVIE
2. Their emotional/moral weak spots
Family. Easily the top of the list for emotional. It’s his greatest weakness- and his greatest strength, at times. But he would do literally anything to keep his family safe, no matter who else it hurt.
Even then, he has few issues with killing, or lying, or stealing- so long as he can get away with it.
4. Best places to kiss on their body
Shoulders/neck/base of the ears, that whole area. He turns into a shivery mess if applied correctly.
6. Their vices (physical or emotional)
Bloodthistle for physical, most definitely. It used to be bloodthistle and (casual) sex, but he’s mellowed the hell out lately.
He’s also slipping further into the realm of playing with Shadow magic. That’s not going to bite him in the ass at all.
8. Bad memories/experiences
Too many to completely list:
The sacking of Silvermoon is at the top, of course.
The first time he saw/realized his mother had been raised as a death knight.
Every single time he’s seen her since.
Every time someone close to him has died - even if he was able to resurrect them afterward.
That one time he actually died. (There are several reasons he hates Northrend and that is one of them.)
One of his kids (his oldest son) had a very rough birth and nearly died.
Most memories involving his first lover. The entire experience was a clusterfuck.
10. Fears/phobias
The Undead.
Being killed and raised as one himself.
His Death Knight mom. (She’s harmless, really :c)
And of course, something happening to his kids.
12. Grudges and vendettasAside from having a grudge against Amani trolls in general, he has something of a vendetta/rivalry going with a specific Amani Hex Witch. They’ve been trying to kill each other for over 200 years- which of course, given that she is a troll, she probably shouldn’t still be alive to begin with…
14. Ingrained habits/forces of habit
He wakes up with the rising sun every day, dirty light worshipper that he is.
Lori is constantly doing stuff with his hands. Moving them, gesturing, playing with something, making something… It can be subtle, or it can just be distracting and annoying.
16. Dark secrets/’skeletons in the closet’
Most of the things he did as a rogue probably count.
How fucking deep he’s falling into shadow.
18. Things they’ll never admit
He never tells lovers that he loves them. Even when he does.
Why he’s no longer with the mother of his kids.
20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines
OH BOY my favorite! I actually have several because AUs are my drug of choice:
A ongoing AT where Lori and his current lover pursued one another the first time they met, rather than the third time a good 100 years or so later. Changes a great deal; several people live that died in the main timeline, but most noticeably he wouldn’t have his kids. :<
A monster!AU
There is one where he never became a priest and stayed a rogue, and another where he became a paladin instead.
Aaand the sadly defunct canon-that-became-AU where he stayed with the mother of his kids.
22. People who’ve influenced them greatly
Lori has had a lot of massive influences in his life, both positive and negative. Probably because he lets people in too thoroughly:
His mother is at the top of the list for positive. Total hero worship- his mom was kind of a badass. He adored her and he just wanted to make her proud. He’s the confident, independent person he is largely because of her.
His cousin Kalyanar is a constant influence- because he is one of the few remaining constants in Iiloridan’s life. They influence each other equally, I think.
The maternal side of his family was large and the collection of aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc all served as various teachers for him in a number of subjects and traditions. Aside from his mom, they were probably the best teachers and influences he ever had.
His dad tried occasionally, but only ended up becoming a negative influence/source of rebellion. Because he was kind of an ass.
His two rogue trainers, one positive and one very, very negative.
His priest trainer was also an ass, but his teachings still greatly influence how Lori thinks and feels about the Light and healing to this day.
