❝ Okay, look. ❞ danny adjusted the phone smushed between his ear and shoulder as he frowned, hands occupied by examining the stamp he'd been given. ❝ I know neither of us expected to get paired together, but we are, so let's just deal with it, okay? Like normal people or whatever. ❞ the stamp seemed simple enough, so danny turned his attention back to the maze in front of him. he knew ember, on the other end of the line, was probably looking at a similar sight to him at the moment. at least according to the little seminar they'd been given at the beginning. he'd been surprised to see her, to say the least, but he was doing his best to just roll with the circumstances given.
danny just really, really hoped she wouldn't try to sabotage this thing just to spite him. she was more competitive than that, right? even if it was her enemy she'd been paired with. he didn't think he could catch this cat if she started to mess around, too.
