Theo had been thinking a lot lately, sure him and Lex were in a good spot. But one thing still nagged at him. They had been cuddling on the couch when he looked down at Lex. “Hey babe?” He asked her, and wondered if she’d be up for a conversation. He hated to ruin the night. Frankie was asleep in one of his arms and she had been leaning in the other. “We don’t have sports on so you shouldn’t be asleep.” He teased as his fingers ran along her arm gently.

He totally went overboard that much was probably clear. He knew it wasn’t the stuff their kid cared about but it was his first Christmas with his daughter. So on the eve of he was wrapping with Lex. The baby had gone down for the night and he wanted to see her excited face in the morning as she tore the crinkly paper. Theo bunched up a small wad of paper excess as he tossed it at his girlfriends back. “I think this bow is what you should wear.”  Theo signed as he teased her and held up a tiny bow for his girlfriend. It was nice to actually be spending the holiday with his girlfriend. He promised his mother he’d stop by for a bit but he knew that his focus was on Frankie and Lex this year.

Theo hated the nights he didn’t get to spend with Frankie and Lex. As much as he had enjoyed his space the last few months the best nights were always the ones where one of them convinced the other to stay. Theo was pulling on his shirt as he looked over at Lex again. “I’ve been thinking. It might be a nuclear idea. But I think that we should think about living together again.” Theo tossed out there. He almost was worried she’d reject the idea. He knew how much she enjoyed her space but that space lately felt like distance.

Theodore honestly was ready to leave the minute his last kid got on the bus. Theo’s kids had decided today’s writing assignment was marriage advice to him, and honestly it had been hilarious so he wanted to take it home and share with his fiance. Stopping on the way home he grabbed some flowers and he was just honestly ready to get home take his implant off and just let the silence wash over him. Walking into their home he smiled when he saw Remy. “Hi baby.” He said and then showed her the flowers. “Happy Anniversary.” He told her kissing her cheek as he stood behind his girl for a moment. One thing Theo didn’t do was forget. No instead he made the girl who walked into his classroom a few years ago feel special any chance he got.

Theo heard the back door slam, and he set down his wrench. He had taken the opportunity to do some maintenance on his bike when he looked over at Linnea. “Do you want to talk about it? Or are you going to fight the squirrels in our back yard?” He tried teasing her. He wiped his hands off on a rag, his t-shirt had a little oil on it. “Want to go for a ride to clear your mind? Or take me for a ride?” He teased hoping to pull a smile on her lips figuring maybe she had an argument or something but he was trying to fix whatever it was. “Don’t tell me the washer machine exploded again.”

Theo had thought a date night without Frankie would be good for him and Lex. He didn’t expect his girlfriend to get drunk on him though as he tried to bring her to the car to take her home. “Are you talking math with me? You trying to turn me on by that kind of talk?” Theo asked laughing softly, he couldn’t even open the door with her splaying herself over the side of the car the way she was leaning. “Oh only a tiny fraction is needed? Why don’t you tell me this again when you’re sober okay? Because I’d love to hear you tell me you love me when you’re sober Lex. Now can I take my girlfriend home?” He asked her as he kissed her forehead. “I love you too, just so you know, always have. A big fraction though, not a tiny one.” He teased her a little.

It was the first snow fall they had that year. Theo thought he’d be cute and bring a snowball inside and show Kali. “Now little one you make these and then we throw them at mommy.” He teased his daughter as she cooed and reached for the frozen wet ball in his hands. He laughed when she whimpered a bit at how cold it was. “Okay maybe we’ll get you mittens first.” Theo got up and grabbed his gloves sliding them on the babies hands making her giggle instead as he then looked up grinning innocently at his wife. He had a baby who was swimming in his gloves, and an incriminating snowball next to him.

Theo was lounging with their baby girl in his arms. Theo had yet to hear a sound from his daughter’s mouth. His wife going into labor had him in a panic that first night so he had rushed her to the hospital without them and since then he just was enjoying a world of silence with his little one. Theo was running his fingers very lightly over his daughter’s eye lids trying to teach her the sign for sleep. But the little one just looked up at him making him chuckle and shake his head. He thought he knew love with Raina but from the moment he held his daughter? This was a whole new type of love. Something so tender, Theo wanted to do nothing more then to protect the little one in his arms. Theo felt his watch vibrate and he knew his daughter had started to whimper, he began to rock with the little one in his arms humming. Trying anything to keep the little one asleep while his wife slept. He wished he could tell her cries apart but he hadn’t figured her facial expressions out yet.
