I’ve only ever known being autistic so I can’t compare it to anything else! But my brain is a super interesting place! I have the capacity for these super advanced college level concepts, but I’m also completely unable to remember how to properly spell the word Wednesday without the help of auto correct.
Am I the only student/academic that consistently will get to this point where you are super close to completing something and then suddenly you want to do everything except the thing you need to complete? Like it is there and would maybe only take you a day of complete concentration to finish it but you somehow cant bring yourself to do it?
Hi my name is Theo and this is my study blog! I’m your local overachiever and I absolutely hate studying. I know it sounds crazy to have a entire blog dedicated to something I hate but there is hopefully some method to my madness. My goal for this blog is to learn what works for me and to motivate myself.
This is where you should start when it comes to understanding this blog so if you don’t mind let me explain the madness.
Just who is Theo? Here’s what you need to know:
I’m your local black non-binary overachiever
My pronouns are he/they
I am a nerd in every sense of the word
I have autism (I’m an aspie)
I have 2 aesthetics modern pop punk goth and a cross between a sweet librarian and a city hippie.
I love books especially if i have a physical copy
I occasionally raise butterflies
I love making friends even if I’m really awkward.
Why a study blog?
I originally started this blog 3 years ago. Back as an itty-bitty freshman heading into high school. Then I actually started high school and the world gave me a brutal news flash that high school was not gonna be a cake walk. That is to say that I got so caught up in not having a breakdown once a month that this blog go kinda pushed to the way side. Now I’m back 3 years later with a fire to make this a successful thing.
So this blog will act as inspiration to help me making good grades and as a diary. I will use this as a sort of journal to record my studying journey. To stay on top of this I’ve set myself some goals
Goals for the blog:
Consistently post original content to this blog. At least 2 times a month (Pictures, tips and tricks, journal entries, artwork, graphics, etc. )
Learn what works the best for me! Not everyone processes information the same way so I’ll be trying things out and then updating you all on what works and dose’t work for me.
Get better at begin organized. I absolutely such at being organized so I’ll be trying to figure out how to achieve the perfect minimalist studyblr aesthetic.
Make friends! I would love to make friends! The only reason that this is at the bottom of the list is because this isn’t something I have sole control over.
Well if you made it this far I appreciate your time and I will leave you with a quote.
“I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead; I lift my eyes and all the world is born again.” -Sylvia Plath
