Driving home from work, Theo had a thousand things on his mind as always. Mrs. Braverman had been too nice offering to babysit Charlie after the accident but it had been more than a year now and Theo was beginning to feel like they were overstaying their welcome, so to speak. Another thing he had to decide was whether to take his friend Eric’s offer. He knew that Eric was pretty knowledgeable about the stocks market and that he had earned quite a lot through trading but did he trust him enough to risk the money -which wasn’t much- it had taken him so long to save? Lost in thought, he didn’t realize that he had driven past their neighbourhood and was in a completely different part of the city now. “Shit” he muttered to himself as he looked around, trying to figure out where he is, until he saw a girl walking down the sidewalk who seemed drunk out of her mind, talking to someone loudly on the phone. Fucking hell, is that really her? Theo slowed down and leaned towards the passenger’s side, trying to get a better look at the girl who looked exactly like his ex. He figured the only way to know for sure was to roll down the window and call out to her and he did exactly that.
