{ Hermione's fingers drummed lazily on the top of the counter that belonged to her bookstore. The day was slow, all the books were straightened, dusted and sorted alphabetically. She didn't know how much more she could take of the stagnant and oppressively hot day that had fallen late that spring day.
Shortly after the war the witch had left the country in search of her parents, not quite sure in which direction it was that she wanted to go, and airport after airport, train station after train station, the only company Hermione found herself with, was her books. So after returning, broken-hearted the witch found a small shop off of Diagon Alley, purchased it and opened a grand bookstore, where she could hide out during the days, until returning to her lonely flat long enough to sleep. }
