Quinn eagerly returns Logan's kiss, her hands resting gently on his hips. When she pulls away from the kiss, she grins brightly at him. "So I guess this means we're good to go for the second date?"

Logan has to laugh at that, his hands still gently cupping her face. “I mean, count me in for a third and fourth already,” he tells her. He steals another quick kiss before reluctantly letting her go. “I really did have fun tonight. And I’d like to go out again soon. You free any night this week?” he asks.

Frankie smiled when he came into their apartment and saw the Ri was already hard at work. “Got started without me?” he teased lightly before walking over and pressing a quick kiss to her temple. “Tell me what you want me to do boss. How are we gonna make this the best Christmas yet?” he asked with a happy grin. It was their year. They were finally going to be happy. And there was no one he’d rather spend this time with.

Frankie Finnegan has known Ri O’Connor was it for him since they were little. It’s always been her. Falling in love her was the easiest thing in the world and Frankie is pretty convinced that he’d fall for her regardless of soulmate markings. 

Falling in love with her was easy. Waiting to do something about it was hard as fuck. Ri is a little younger than him and Frankie would rather be dead than be that guy that basically preys on his younger soulmate because the law looks at it in all the wrong ways. So he waits and lets Ri decide on when and what and everything in between. He’ll take anything she’s ready to give. He smiles for weeks after she holds his hand for the first time. He blushes bright red the first time she pecks his cheek. 

His world stops spinning when she tugs him to her and kisses him for the first time. Frankie is pretty sure his cheeks will split from the size of his grin. When he gets home that night, his dad doesn’t even need to ask what happened. He takes one look at him, shakes his head fondly, and tells him to treat his girl right.

Evan slowly made his way over to Brighid. He’d been dreading this. He needed help and he didn’t know who else to ask. Brighid was his person. He just didn’t want to ruin what they had. Evan still couldn’t figure out what made him say he was bringing a date to this stupid family party, but then he’d heard that Nate was bringing his girlfriend and Jeremy was bringing someone and he just started talking. Evan sat down across from her and gave her his most pitiful look. “Brig,” he started. “I need a really, really big favor.”

Evan made his way over to Brighid where she sat perched by Quinn’s side. She’d barely moved at all since Quinn had been brought into this room and Evan was beginning to get more than a little worried about her. He crouched beside her chair and looked up at her. “Hey,” he said, pushing some hair out of her face. “I brought you some coffee and breakfast. There’s even a change of clothes for you if you want it,” he told her, taking in her tired appearance. “Can I get you anything?” he asked, wishing he could snap his fingers and make everything okay. He’d been on the phone all morning dealing with insurance and making sure they were all set and now he just wanted to check on his girls.

She stops when she feels his hand slide down her arm and stop at the ridges, lingering before he continues down her forearm to hold her hand. She takes his hand gently in hers, reaching with her free arm to pull her sleeves down and cover the scars. She’s thankful when the question falling from his lips isn’t about the scars, but questioning if she’s ready to go. “Yeah, yeah, let’s go,” she says, nodding and putting on a smile for him.

Frankie doesn’t question things with Ri. He waits patiently for her to talk about things or not talk about things as she pleases. He matches her smile with one of his own, knowing hers is a little more forced than he likes. He lifts her hand to kiss her knuckles. “I love you,” he says, not as a reminder, but because he likes telling her that. “I was thinking I might get something new to try today,” he says as they slowly make their way out. “What about you?”
