5 years later.....

(Allie's POV)

Dear Margot,

I hope this reaches you well in Twikkii Island. Lessie said your phone reception has been spotty so I thought I'd send you a letter instead.

A lot has happened here in the last six months. I know you heard about the issues with Theo, and I'm afraid to say they haven't gotten better. I've moved out with the boys and Poppy.

One of Dad's friends had this property for sale and agreed to sell it to Dad for a really good price. He told me I could live here for however long I needed, so that's been a relief. I had been praying day and night and was glad the Lord answered! I hope to buy it from Dad eventually but I've had to take a leave of absence from work while I deal with everything.

Bear is getting so big! I can't believe he'll be turning 3 soon. He's still too young to really understand what's going on. He does like the new house though and all the space to play outside.

Hawk on the other hand has really been struggling with all these changes. He's been angry and distant and I'm not sure what Theo tells him when he gets to visit him. I've been praying a lot and I think it might be best to maybe have him see a therapist. Mom's been really discouraging it - you know how she is. I'm going to research local child psychologists once we're settled in and see what I can find to help him.

One last bit of news - I'm pregnant. I just hit my second trimester. Although the circumstances surrounding this pregnancy are not ideal, the Lord makes no mistakes and I am rejoicing in this new life.

I have a court date set for next month, so I will keep you updated. Please tell Emerson I say "hello" and give little Maricela a hug for me!

(A/N: I know this is definitely a twist! There will be some posts with backstory explaining what happened between Allie and Theo. As of right now, they are separated and Allie is trying to file for divorce. Hawk is almost 6 years old now and they had another son, Bear. And Theo is the father of the baby she's pregnant with now, too.)

Four years ago

(Allie's POV)

Ever since we've had Hawk, Theo's been acting differently. He was so excited to begin a family, but I think he wasn't prepared for the toll a newborn takes. His family is much smaller than mine, and he never had to look after his younger brothers and sisters like I did.

It's almost as if he's jealous that I'm spending most of my time taking care of the baby. He's been argumentative and complains that we never have any alone time. Sometimes his temper is so bad it scares me. I do my best to stay quiet and submit to him, but truth be told I'm really starting to be afraid of him. I don't feel comfortable around him like I used to - I don't even want to sleep in the same bed as him anymore. I'm glad I have the baby for an excuse to be out of the bedroom as much as possible. I've been praying for acceptance and for Theo to get better - I just hope it works.

(Present day)

I truly believe the reason I am still here is because of our gracious God. He has protected me and without him I would have nothing. My children are here because of him and I am so grateful. Every morning I pray and thank Him for giving me another day alive.

The transition to separating from my husband has been difficult to say the least. My mom has been coming over a lot to offer guidance and spiritual support. She prays with me often and encourages me to listen to the Lord. She doesn't want me to divorce Theo. She thinks we can work it out - but I don't think so. I know she means well, but her words make me feel like it's all my fault my marriage fell apart.

Divorce is extremely frowned upon for us and I'm not taking this situation lightly. I hear the whispers and rumors that are going around our church and I know if the divorce is finalized I'll be a pariah. For once though, I'm doing something for me and not for the sake of my reputation. I've prayed and fasted and the Lord has shown me this is the right path I'm on and that's all that matters.

As of today, I'm officially Mrs. Booth! I'm not quite sure how I feel about it; I'm excited of course but it's a big change from what I've been used to.

Our ceremony was at a church in Willow Creek.

We don't have a lot of pictures yet, just a few our friends and family took. I'll definitely share more when we get them back from our photographer.

Theo was a bit excited for our first kiss 😅 I was impressed by his enthusiasm and the kiss was better than I expected!

One of the best parts of the wedding, besides getting married of course, was my sister Margot was able to come! I haven't seen her in over a year.

Mom was not happy to see her there and spent most of her time glaring at her from afar. It didn't help that her dress wasn't as "modest" as Mom was used to since it went above her knee.

Despite Mom's attitude, it was still nice to have all of my family there!

I really like this shot with most of my sisters. Elena refused to be pictured with Margot, but that's her loss, not mine 🤷‍♀️ Oh, and Camilla is pregnant and wanted me to specify that. I told her you can barely tell by the angle but she insisted.

Anyway, now we're off on our honeymoon! I'll keep you all posted.

Our wedding portraits came in and I'm so pleased with them!

It's hard to believe that we've been married for almost a month now! We're slowly getting into the groove of this married life. My favorite routine so far is our nightly devotionals. Theo and I turn off our phones and spend much needed times with our bibles. He's a great spiritual leader and I certainly feel closer to the Lord due to his influence!

Since I haven't really been feeling super creative, but I want to have a theme for Allie's future children, I decided I would make another poll! I really like having some input on the story from you all! 😊

The poll is here and will be open for a few days.

The options are:

1. Letter theme (I'm leaning towards the letter T, after Theo)

2. Nature/Animal-inspired names (since Allie loves animals 🤣) I'm thinking girls would have more plant/flower names and boys would have names like Fox, Bear, etc.

3. Uncommon biblical names.

4. "Trendee names" a la Karissa Collins. Names spelled in youneek ways like McKayleigh, Aynjel, etc.

Part 1

Today was such an adventure with Theo!

It started with a trip to Oasis Springs park, where we walked around and then had a nice conversation at one of the picnic tables.

We talked about a few things and somehow got on the subject of roller skating. I admitted that I'd never been and Theo said we had to go then. So, we left and headed to the rink in Willow Creek.

I fell down a few times and Theo really started getting nervous that I would hurt myself. I could see the sweat beading on his forehead and decided that was probably enough skating for the day! I didn't want to stress him out too badly by my poor skating skills 😂

After our trip to the skating rink, he took me out to dinner at The Wooden Spoon. Since our family is so large we rarely ever get to go out to eat. Most restaurants can't accommodate a party of 17 people on short notice.

It was nice to get to be with him alone. We prayed about it and decided we didn't want chaperones anymore. The Lord would be our chaperone. With Theo being 23 and me almost 20, we trusted ourselves enough not to do anything that would be sinful or dishonorable.

Towards the end of our dinner, Theo told me he had a surprise for me. My heart leapt in my chest and I started feeling a bit sweaty. He had me stand up and he covered my eyes.

I felt a box in his hand and immediately knew it was a ring!

Some highlights from the honeymoon

It's our last night here and it's been one of the best weeks of my life. I'm so happy we got to spend this time together!

Before we got married, Theo and I had a discussion about modesty. The women in his family wear pants and tank tops and he told me that as long as I felt comfortable, I could do the same. When we were on the private beach by our rental I didn't wear my modesty t-shirt, but I still feel uncomfortable showing that much skin in public right now, so I wore my more modest swimsuit if we were out and about. (A/N: Molly really hammered down on the modesty - it's hard to leave that mindset completely behind immediately when you were told to cover up since you were old enough to remember)

Now we're heading home. I'm going to be moving into Theo's apartment in San Myshuno. Once I'm finished school, we plan to purchase a house and settle down outside the city! Please pray for us as we embark on this new journey!

(A/N: slightly long post ahead!)

(Two years ago, Theo's POV)

I was so nervous as I approached the Flanagan house. A million thoughts ran through my head but the one I focused on the most was that I was going to see Allie.

I met Allie when she came to San Myshuno with her brother and hadn't stopped thinking about her since that day. We worked together, keeping up a relatively fun banter as the day went on. Her laugh was adorable and so wasn't her smile. Everything about her was perfect and I knew then that I would never meet another girl like her. Even though it was pretty late now, I couldn't miss the chance to see her again before I went back to the city.

I was happy when she was the one who answered. She looked just as beautiful as I remembered. Her hair was styled differently and I didn't realize her natural color was black but it suited her. It was so nice to see her.

(Allie's POV)

Theo showing up at our house was the last thing I expected. Or wanted, really. His face lit up when he saw me though and I knew I was doomed. He clearly had a huge crush on me. Even though I didn't find him attractive at all a few thoughts came to me. The first was Mom's famous saying, "the Lord works in mysterious ways." Maybe one of His mysteries was for me to get to know this guy, even if I don't find him attractive? The second thought came from a Christian cartoon Donny was watching the other day. A talking tomato spent the entire episode on the topic of "don't judge a book by its cover." Clearly, this tomato knew way more about being accepting than I did. It's pretty sad when a cartoon tomato is being a better Christian than you. So, with those in mind I decided I would put my judgement of Theo's looks on the back burner for now.

We spent some time catching up and honestly shared a few laughs too. I have to admit he did have this sort of odd charm about him that made me feel at ease even in the few minutes I spent talking with him. Oh and don't worry - my siblings were watching us from the window. Miranda has eyes like a hawk and was ready to go running for Mom or Dad if anything happened.

I didn't tell him, but his visit came at a good time. Our house was in chaos - Margot had just up and left mere days ago and Mom was not taking it well. I was the oldest daughter left at home and let me tell you - poor Margot did a lot in this house and now it was all down to me and Miranda since none of my brothers do any sort of cleaning. Thankfully, some of my older sisters stop by to lend a hand when they aren't dealing with their own children or housework.

It was nice to take fifteen minutes to chat and not worry about laundry or dishes or who wanted a snack.

Before he left he gave me his phone number and said he hoped we could talk more. I wasn't sure if I should accept it but I did anyway. It's not like Mom or Dad would let me text a boy without including them in the chat so at least there was that. We said our goodbyes and I went back inside.

One thing I found interested was that he didn't ask to talk to my dad or even really hint that he wanted to "court" me. I guess giving me his phone number was a hint but I was pleasantly surprised he wasn't like some of my sisters' old suitors who would just talk to Dad and that was that. There might be more to Theo than I initially thought...
