I understand and agree with you about Bran and the disabled representation, I love Bran and I hate when people “forget” about this (not saying that most people that I know think he is boring just because he cant walk. And this always infuriate me). So about Hodor, I didn’t think it was ableist because he died, but for me, I just hate the fact that it need to have a reason for him to be the way he is. (1/2)
I really hate this so much, I have been reading people saying this for years and it always makes me mad. Anyway I only send this because while I do agree with you, I still feel sick with the whole hold the door thing. Is only that that makes me mad, not because it was all about bran, because came on, he is the main character in that storyline, it is about him. (2/2)
that is an actual argument which I can entirely see but meh man if they weren’t bullshitting about it coming from grrm what can you do :/ mostly it’s that I don’t like it necessarily but at least it still has some basic sense within the history even if it’s fucking creepy (I mean guys bran can override free will here while time traveling that’s not shits and giggles) and I’m kinda gutted that the guy had to be the sacrificial lamb for it but I really can’t understand the ‘it’s about bran’ complain. well man it’s his storyline where hodor’s a minor character like...? but I mean one thing is ‘I hate that there had to be a *reason*’ which I mean if it turns out to be book canon then it’s going to be in the same technical league as me being like ‘I kinda wish jon was ned + ashara but it’s obviously r+l=j I have to make peace with it’, one thing is ‘it’s ableist that a disabled character died to further a main’s character storyline’ while completely forgetting that said main character is also disabled which people here remember just when it’s convenient to them apparently -_- also lol bran being boring is one of my fandom pet peeves I love bran’s chapters gdi XD anyway I didn’t hate it as much as I thought I would tho I’m not thrilled he had to go but then again with this show after winterfell in S5 nothing can ever anger me again that much D:
