Red and yellow
Ooh.
red: is it hard for you to think up new ideas? list three of your biggest influences.
Ahaha, actually, I have the opposite problem. I'm a veritable fountain of sometimes good but mostly terrible ideas, but actually making myself work on them is a gigantic pain in the ass.
Um, influences...
- Ray Bradbury : He has a way of describing things and people that just kind of sings to me, and I try to incorporate a similar manner to my worldbuilding. I'm not very good at it yet, though.- Kurt Busiek : I mostly look to him for my fight scenes. While artists are given lots of leeway, there still has to be panel scripting, and, for example, his totally dialogue-less issue of Avengers proves he knows his staging and flow.- Marjorie Liu and Tamora Pierce : Character intimacy. They are very, very good in different ways at creating and maintaining 'voices' for their characters, and the way people move and speak to and around each other just sort of properly clicks, even for awkward scenes.
yellow: what do you do when you’re stuck in a block? list three sources of inspiration when new ideas are scarce.
Oh, God, I am so terrible with this, because my creative drive is almost entirely tied to my mental and emotional state. So, really, this is less inspiration and more coping methods to try and get myself through the headache and heartache.
- Music: Mostly instrumental, mostly new agey. Anything that will help calm the chaos in my head to just let me think instead of spiraling deeper into painful loops.- Dogs: Sometimes, I just need to hug my little sisses. Go sit outside in the shade on the porch and let them cuddle in my lap, even if they're too big to do so.- Food: This one's not the best idea, because, um, I have a really painful relationship with food sometimes. But other times, just giving in and getting something really nice that I normally wouldn't allow myself to have for whatever reason makes me, at least temporarily, feel a little better.
Series you have the most merch from?
Um, if we're counting all of the Generations, then ::cough:: My Little Pony. Other than that, I don't really collect media-related toys, just rabbit plushies.
A film you love to hate?
Hmmm... That's a toughie. Most movies I hate, I just hate. But to get some kind of enjoyment out of hating... I guess the Star Wars prequels get a lot of lolz when I'm not focused on the eyecandy.
Wow, get an instagram already
OH MY GOD I HATE YOU SO MUHCUHUHUHCHCH
