So I'm a lot sicker than I thought I was.

It started about last Wednesday (the 6th), and it was just a sore-ish throat. Well that's deal-with-able, right? By the end of that night, though, it got worse and was accompanied by runny/stuffy nose. Yurgh, so I thought I had a cold.

The next morning was really unbearable feeling, and through the day I had a fever on and off (Melody KK can confirm that because she was with me because awesome friend).

So I was pretty sure I had a sinus infection, and so I went about treating it with over-the-counter stuffs, y'know? It just kept getting worse, though.

Saturday night was when it got really bad. My ear started hurting and the pressure in my sinuses was so bad that it hurt my face for some reason??? I didn't want to wake my mom up so I just took some tylenol but that didn't do anything. I eventually woke my ma and she gave me some pain medicine Sunday morning. 

Well it was Sunday, so the doctor's office that takes my insurance wasn't open so guess where I got to go? The emergency room, whee. So I get checked over and it  turns out that I have an inner ear infection in each ear, a sinus infection, and an infection in my throat. Fantastic.

They give me some antibiotics and some pain killers, and a prescription for more, and send my on my way. We drop off the prescription and I get a chocolate milkshake because milkshake.

I get home at about three-thirty that afternoon and go to bed. My stomach gets to hurting so I tell my ma that I feel nauseous. She asks if I can hold down such and such, and the more she talks the worse it gets. Thankfully I make it to the bathroom in time for my Milkshake to meet me again. I'm glad that I had it though, because it's all that I had eaten so I would have probably ended up dry-heaving.

So it's tentative from that point on as for the rest of the night I couldn't go a full hour without throwing up whatever I tried to keep down. This ended up leaving me near de-hydrated.

I didn't stop this nausea cycle until about three this morning.

So yeah I'm pretty sick. I dunno how long it'll be 'till I'm better. It sucks because there's a few songs I want to get done, and I was also thinkin of auditionin for a few things but I don't know if I'll be better before auditions end...

But yeah I thought I'd update you guys on how I'm doin'.

what mic do you use? mine just flipped out and i plan on auditioning for melodystuck, so yeah c:

There are two mics that I use.

My Main recording Mic is a Samson Go-Mic. It was recommended to me by my film teacher. It's got three different recording settings, and it also comes with an audio editing program (Cakewalk Music Creator 5 is the program that mine came with, though I don't use it often because audacity is a lot simpler.) It's small and comes with a case, so it's not difficult to set up anywhere, making it pretty painless if you plan on recording somewhere that is not your usual spot. All of my most recent songs have been recorded using this mic.

For short messages and the such I use a Sentry Headset. It was my first mic/headset that I used, and my first few songs were recorded with it. I got it for about five dollars at a local store. I'd honestly never heard of the brand before, and was a little bit skeptical, but it worked out really well. The only thing about this headset though, is that after about two weeks of use, the mic started recording very loudly and with a garbled sound, and eventually it stopped picking up any noise at all. I bought another headset of the same brand, and it's beginning to record at a loud, low-quality rate, as well. This could just be my computer, but it could also be the fact that it's a five-dollar headset. Either way, it lasts decently enough for the price. An example of recordings with this headset can be found here and here. I can't find a link to the item anywhere, but here is a youtube video of somebody reviewing the same product.

guys i dunno what to do. the whole broadwaystuck thing is just conflicting me right now.

On one hand I want to audition, and on the other, I don't.

The new way it's looking, it looks like it's turning into a job instead of something fun? It doesn't seem like the same broadwaystuck at all, like a totally new project with the same name as the one before? Like it's taking all the fun and the sparkle and the razzle-dazzle from what it used to be. That's what it looks like to me, as of now.

On one side of the coin, I want to audition because I want to know if I have what it takes. I want to know how far I can go, you know? Especially with the amount of competition for Nepeta's part, especially with people like sequinedcatnip auditioning. I want to know how far I've come since I first round up this voice of mine.

But, on the other hand, I don't want to audition and on the slim chance that I actually make the part, hate it. I don't want to feel obligated to a project that I won't want to do, you know? 

gah I'm sorry I just had to vent this out somewhere. i just dunno what to do

i'll probably re-blog this to leijon for relevancy, but i'll post it here anyway...
