#theory issue

since milgram's head writer is a psychologist, i have reason to believe he wouldn't just toss in an evil serial killer alter trope into all of this, because that'd just be really lazy and damaging storytelling imo. my personal theory is that mikoto is in a gang (bc all the tarot cards have symbols like bats, knives, motorcycles, and wheels), and carries out hits on rival gang members, as seen in the first verse. meanwhile at home, he either does self-hypnosis (based on how he has those incense sticks and stares at a blank white tv screen when "switching" for some reason) and/or smokes/gets high/gets drunk to ease the heavy mental burden of it all, and him when he's all chill and zonked out is what we see in every chorus.

what if Mikoto is in milgram for a murder he did and not a murder "evil" Mikoto did? there must be a reason why the barrier only works on him and not the other Mikoto. Our Mikoto is the one being judged not the other one.

If nobody else is gonna say it, I am. I think that Mikoto’s symbolism about his ‘dark self’ is him being a system / having DID. And, if I’m right on this (which I am decently sure I am; I’m pretty confident in this theory compared to some of my other ones), I think that it’s pretty shitty that we’re getting a ‘one of the alters is an evil murderer’ trope with him.

I have a kazui theory that the two woman are the same from different points in time (the past and present) and the mv is about him trying to come out to his wife which he does in the later half of the mv. From then on they argue and he accidently pushes her out of the window. (From someone else's theory but) The mv might be set up to look like cheating as a red herring. In this case he also might have a boyfriend or someone he wants to be but is trying to hide those memories from es?

kazui's definitely one of my faves but the fact i spent a day making a whole doc of a theory on his mv + crime because none of the other popular theories sat right with me is something that's gonna haunt me forever. i cant look at green apples the same way again /j

What if in MeMe some scenes like towards the end or at the choruses show Mikoto being taken away and being introduced into milgram. Like when they take his photo and when he's being surrounded by the other prisoners I just. think that would be neat

What if in the next trial milgram weed out all the nonforgiven prisoners and only release songs for the previously forgiven prisinors and keep doing that into the third trial until there is only one true innocent left.
