the hill we’re willing to die on
Hello everyone, I hope you all have been good, today I come to you with my progress on how I tried to be vegetarian for a week. This is a huge challenge because I eat meat almost everyday, and I buy lots of take out food, so staying vegetarian for a whole week is definitely going to be challenging.
The allergen on this menu is tree nuts.
Day 1: Lucky Charms Cereal (Breakfast), Vegetable wrap (Dinner)
Day 2: All bran bar, Milk (Breakfast), Rice and vegetables (Dinner)
Day 3: Pani Puri (Breakfast)This contains tree nuts and the substitute is called for pumpkin seeds, Ceaser salad (Dinner)
Day 4: From right to left a typical meal is Kobi chi bhajii (Curry cabbage and potatoes), Spinch chi pattal bhaji(Curry spinach stew style), Apple and onion salad, beet and yogurt raita, 2 rotti on the side (Dinner). This dish contains nuts in the Curry cabbage and potatoes, and a substitute would be sunflower seeds.
Day 5: Milk and cookies (Breakfast), Minnistrone soup (Lunch), Pizza (Dinner)
Day 6: Chocolate banana (Breakfast), Nacho platter (Dinner)
Day 7: Cornflakes Cereal (Breakfast), Grilled cheese sandwich (Lunch), Mushroom risotto (Dinner)
I will also share the recipe on making of Kobi chi bhajii.
1 tbsp oil
Mustard seeds
Cumin Seeds
2-3 finely minced garlic cloves
2-3 green chillii peppers
Curry leaves
2 cups finely chopped cabbage
2 potatoes medium dice
1/2 cup soaked chana dal
Salt to taste
-Heat up oil in a pan. Add mustard and cumin seed and let the cook for a bit, add garlic, add turmeric powder, green chillies and curry leaves. Mix well. Add cabbage and soaked chana dal and salt. Cook and cover for 10 to 15 minutes.
To be completely honest, looking back on this experience, I would not do this again, It was hard to find things to eat and I missed eating meat too much. Finding vegetarian outside food was not that hard to find to my suprise, I thought it would be hard to find vegetarian fast food.

Failure is inevitable
It was going to happen sooner or later. My grades have been dwindling since my second year in college.
From the minute I saw my final exam questionnaire, I knew I was going to fail, or at least had a strong feeling of failure.
I’m not surprised.
I hate the subject. I expected to love it since I loved the related subjects that preceded it. Boy was I wrong. There is, however another reason to support this one.
I hate the teacher. Okay, so maybe hate is a bit too strong. My teacher is fairly pleasant outside the classroom. It’s the way he teaches and acts inside the classroom that I despise. Let’s go with I greatly dislike the teacher. Yes, let’s do that.
I mean, come on. How am I supposed to take a subject seriously when the instructor can’t even look his students in the eye. Seriously, he walks into to the room, starts writing on the board and continues to face the board even as he discusses, or more like mumbles about what he wrote. If he even makes the slightest bit of eye contact with anybody, he looks away so fast you’d think he gets whiplash. I feel bad for his neck.
Another weird thing is that I normally like it when things are explained in detail. Not with him. He takes it to an unnecessary level where some things just aren’t important anymore, and my classmates agree with me on this one. We shouldn’t have to worry about “oh I forgot to write a tiny insignificant detail so now I won’t get full credit for my work,” its ridiculous.
Worst part: he is the only one that teaches that subject on a regular semester. So my options were really either take it and fail, or take it off season. Both of which lead to a delay.
Well anyway, no amount of hate towards my instructor is going to change my grade. I could guilt myself all night with a thousand ways on how this could have been avoided (study harder, ask for additional information, focused more on schoolwork, kiss more ass, yada yada yada) but again, what’s done is done.
Maybe—MAYBE it’ll be a love triangle between Clint, Nat and Steve if ever they explore the characters’ stories in the next avengers movie. The Avengers hinted some scenes where there were only the 3 of them(the trio walk towards the jet, fight together in the streets; Clintasha fighting just like Budapest all over again; Steve shielding Nat from the inferno, giving her the boost etc) and call me delusional but i think it’s a start.
Aaaand let’s talk about Nat’s arrow necklace. That definitely signifies something between her and Clint(i checked it out, they confirmed it in an interview *sob*) and obviously, they were partners. Suuure, they’ve already bonded. When i first watched the avengers, the scene where Nat talked to Loki about Clint and other things really had me fooled. I thought she was gonna tear up!
But TWS also showed that Romanogers bonded in some ways they never thought would make them closer. Yes Chris, an odd pairing lol. There were times that they assure themselves that they could survive on their own but surprisingly find security in each other. Protect and be protected. They knew each other as partners but as the situations grow more complicated, so as their ‘relationship’. They haven’t realized it but their small talks meant more. Unaware that they were slowly opening up their shells to the person they never thought they could trust with their personal baggages.
