perhaps thomas has gotten carried away. a little bit. in his guise as a wayne he makes sure to be gentler, more human, but somehow things manage to slip through the cracks in his near-perfect facade. what was supposed to be just a nip on the neck of a married socialite turns to an iron tang on his lips, something that only causes him to press further around her in their near-deserted alcove.
This was such a bad idea. Her husband was in the next room, but then again he was boozing it up. If anything come morning, he’d think he was the one that marked her up. Johnny Sabatino was a cruel man, and crafty, but he couldn’t always put two and two together. “Thomas,” she hissed out, though fingers curled into his suit coat, “They’re going to notice we’re gone-- isn’t this your party?” Of course the woman wasn’t making any move to leave.
@theowlsclaws liked this for a starter from Jason Todd
The young man stood at the edge of the building, looking down. He’d messed up, and he knew that, went against instructions but in his defense he thought the results would have been better his way... It wasn’t so, but he was still learning, right? Figuring shit out and so on and so forth. If he was completely honest, he was still getting used to this whole thing. He had grown up doing things his own way since he could work a microwave, hadn’t had anyone to tell him what to do.
It was different now. Vastly so.
“I mean, we still got shit done, right?” the Talon offered with a huff of breath, tugging the mask back, away from his face, “So... it all worked out.”
@theowlsclaws replied to your post “jealous u didn't get to bite the guy fish boy?”:
I'd let you bite me, though I'm flattered you're concerned for me. ^^
i hawve no idea vwhat's going on right novw.

blood certainly isn’t uncommon on the cold ground of gotham city, but this time it catches thomas’s eye, wet on the concrete and slowly dripping through its cracks. he nearly steps in it, but moves his boot just in time, coming down a few inches away as he crouches.
he knows the sight of blood better than he knows the back of his hand; his detective’s mind tells him that this didn’t come from a simple gunshot. he raises his eyes to see the trail meandering away into the darkness.
thomas makes a point of knowing what goes on in his city. ‘ talon, come. ‘
He stopped with Owlman did, watching him but not seeing anything particularly amiss.
“What’s going on? It’s just blood.” Definitely not an irregular occurrence in Gotham. He followed when ordered to anyway, a little confused but hey, he’d find out what he needed to know soon enough. And even if he didn’t, he’d just do whatever Owlman told him to do.
@theowlsclaws from x:
thomas doesn’t move from his perch in the shadows, crouching on an old lamppost as if he was born there. the woman stands under it, flakes of snow falling lazily to the ground. snow in gotham doesn’t form the crisp white floor is seems to in other cities, instead being pushed aside by cars and pedestrians to form a slush as dark as the rest of the cityscape.
‘ and i know who you’re here to kill . ‘
The Winter Soldier can just make him out, a man-shaped patch of shadow that’s a hair darker than his surroundings. It’s not enough to identify him, but she’ll be able to tell if he moves.
“Do you always accuse strangers of plotting murder?” she asks, peering up at him through the gloom.
This is her first time in Gotham, and though she’s taking pains to hide it, she’s uneasy. Snow, darkness, pursuers -- those she knows how to deal with. But there’s something else, something off about this city, something that her handlers didn’t mention when they were briefing her for the mission. She can’t put her finger on what it is. That worries her.
@theowlsclaws // thomas & selina.
She’d learned long ago how to tell when and where she wasn’t wanted -- and here, now? Definitely one of those places and times. Her shoulders were tense, but she tried to maintain the facade of nonchalance. She could’ve been a hundred other places than Wayne manor, but Gordon seemed to think this was the only place she’d actually be safe. How exactly, she wasn’t sure, given that the security measures here stunk to high heaven but ... she had to at least stick around until Gordon and the butler were done talking and the cop had taken off. First chance after that? Sure. She’d split. She could feel the eyes on her, shifting her weight to turn, she found the lean, pale figure of the boy, the one she’d seen in the alley the night that started all this mess. Selina offered a smile, faint, one hand twisting up in an awkward wave. “Hey.” So, she wasn’t the best at small talk but then, what exactly did she expect to have in common with the billionaire brat prince? Not much. “Don’t worry, I won’t be in your hair for long.”
