After watching episode 2 of Pretty little liars The Perfectionists and reading some of the theories on tumblr, I’m covinced that there is someone on this show that has a split personality disorder. My guess is that is Mona (even do we already kinda knew this thing from all her shady behavior in pretty little liars), butit can also be a clue for someone else having this sickness.
Let me talk about all the clues I found as I watched the show or as I searched for theories on tumblr (I wil reference all tumblr pages and posts that I will mention).
1. Split personality is a big thing in books that this show is based on, and since pretty little liars had a lot of elemets in the show that were written in SaraShepard’s books, I think that this show will also have some.
2. In the promo photo for this show all the girls and Dylan have a glass on their face... this could indicate to split personality theme in the show.
3. In the episode 1 Mona looks a lot in the mirror and talks to someone through them... or she could just talk to her other personality this way...
4. The girl in the toilet in the last scene of episode 1 also looks quite familiar, dont you think? She is dressed the same way as Mona used to dress and she also has glasses. This could also be a big clue that Mona isn’t talking to hotchkiss technologies, but that this is all in her brain, because of her split personality disorder.
5. The “safe” world. This word is used a lot in the episode 1 (five times)... that can’t be coincidence... read this post from @uberaalison, so you can see how this word could indicate split personality with Mona
“She went back to her safe place”.
6. Playing chess.. I have a feeling that she isn’t playing chess with anybodi...not a real person anywa, because she said that she plays it online...why are then figures placed as if someone was playing? she could play it with the oder person within her.
Also...”the most brilliant opponent”?
7. This drawing on the wall could represent a split person...
...and did you see those dolls and snowglobe?
