Years slipped by after receiving a necklace of immortality from her children. Umi noticed that while Aurora grew, not one wrinkle set into her skin. If anything, she seemed almost frozen in her twenties of age. The only thing that changed even the slightest was her fur becoming more golden. There were trials and interesting times they had shared together. 

However, they made it through and were a stronger family unit. Aurora’s birthday was approaching. She had only just become a teenager in recent years and gift giving was getting harder. Umi moved through their cabin home calling out for her daughter. “Aurora? May we please speak for a moment?”

Momma have you forgotten your kitten

The travel back home on foot took the poor woman many endless days. Her left hand remained bandaged from the previous ordeal but the worst wounds were the ones that haunted her in the nights. Such vivid darkness swirled in her dreams with the haunted phrase, ‘Momma have you forgotten your kitten?’ 

Worn from the weary travel and now without the ability of transport, Umi needed to find the portal the fire demon had first carved for her within the now abandoned mineshaft of her homeland. Such tremendous force left the entrance open to Umi so she could get back home. As the exhausted blue-haired lady finally came within eyesight of the cabin, a rush of energy ran through her limbs, carrying to her run. Umi did not think twice about throwing the door open as she called out, “Miss Aurora? Are you here?"
