[[ Spoilers for the game Dark Romance: A Performance to Die For. In case anyone cares, don’t read on.

Just read @ancientphantom‘s review of Dark Romance: A Performance to Die For on The Phantom Library, which I unfortunately have not gotten to play yet beyond it’s 90 minute free trial, (my friend bought it and at some point she’s going to play it and I’m going to watch and/or help out via streaming because she’s great. Maybe I’ll buy it eventually, too. Hopefully) but I am so so excited to learn that not only does it have a Phantom daughter that I vaguely heard about existing before, but it also has a Raoul/Christine daughter I never knew about! 

This is Margaret Delacroix, “Raul” (still pronounced as Raoul though spelled Raul for some reason?? Like the only adaptation where they pronounce it right and spell it wrong?) and Christine’s daughter from the bonus chapter game in the Collector’s Edition.

And this is Belatrix Cloden, Issac (the Phantom character) and his now-dead wife Roselle’s daughter who has a grudge against the Delacroix family because of what happens in the main game and tries to take it out on Margaret.

Although they have a rivalry (and by rivalry I mean Belatrix trying to do bad things to Margaret for things she had nothing to do with, where her parents were the victims of The Thing Belatrix is mad about anyway, and Isaac, her father, is the villain), I am very excited about these two girls as an addition to our ever-growing family!

I just finished a casual game, very loosely based on POTO. T Christine is brunette in this version, there's something about Raoul having businesses in New York (maybe he was secretly an investor in Coney Island). The Phantom is not only younger than Raoul, but he was disfigured in a fire. Oh, and he's married, and has a daughter, while Carlotta is crazy for him. If Love Never Dies was bad this is worse. The game is Dark Romance: A Performance to Die for, and it's as WTF as you can get.

I hadn’t!  I think it’s a very recent release - I saw a little chatter about the beta back in March, I think, but was waiting for it to come out in case (as a number of games do!) it ended up being changed to have a different plot by the time it made it out.

But it looks like it still is, although anon is right, it clearly has a supernatural bent:

I think my favorite part is definitely the mask extending up to create solid gold hair.  This Phantom is both magical and committed to an aesthetic.

And for those wondering about Raoul, he’s a blond babe:

Okay but, I feel like Erik would actually make a decent dad??? Like, he’d probably be really terrified of it at first but then eventually he would spoil the shit outta his kid/s. It would make sense because he would finally have something worth living and caring for and will love him back. And he’d want to give them everything he didn’t have growing up. Only real problem I could think of is that he may be a bit overprotective and defensive of them.

Well anyways that’s my headcanon.
