Yeah, that’s basically it when it comes to the comics and manga. That really annoys me because think about all the potential of why the third gen teamed with Wily in the end and how they feel about it instead of just assuming they’re evil.

You know, at one point I came up with the headcanon that maybe there was a “traitor” of sorts amongst the third gen bots who tricked the others into joining forces with Wily. Like, during the bots creation Wily managed to make some sort of program that made the bot be on Wily’s side from the beginning and then they tricked everyone else into being reprogrammed. However then there’s the downside to it, where no one else remembers what happened except the traitor bot.

At first I was imagining the traitor would’ve been Shadowman but then I learned about the whole “robot of unknown origin” thing, so now I’m not too sure on who the traitor could’ve been. Maybe Snakeman since many think of him as a spybot

It’s one of those things I really wish the comics and manga explored. The third gen are part Light bot and the fact we never really get to see what their thoughts are about the situation makes me sad about all the story potential. :‘v

I haven’t really been able to read megaman comics/manga, but from what I’ve seen the 3rd gen bots are being treated like they’ve always been wilybots orz

Of course there’s the whole Ra Moon situation in Archie comics but I was never able to read that comic completely so idk what happened there. It did give Shadowman’s story some depth, but he wasn’t a lightbot to begin with

Yeah, they pretty much did with Elena. I feel like Disney's not being bothering with ethnicities/races since Latinx is a pretty broad term for Latin Amercian people. There's Mexicans (like me), Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Brazilians, and a lot of other cultures they can represent, but they're like 'Let's just say she's Latina and call it a day'. The most I can really give credit is that she's brown.
