It had been nearly a year since Killian had last made it to this port. The small village where a woman had stolen his heart. Something at the time he hadn't wanted to admit. Maybe because a part of him still felt the call of the sea, or another part of him was afraid that she couldn't love him. And yet here he was, back at port because he wanted to see her again.
He wasn't sure how she would react when she saw him again. It had been quite a while and while he did enjoy the time he spent there, he thought perhaps she would think that it hadn't meant much to him. Even if he thought about her often.
So he walked up to the door, taking a deep breath and knocking, waiting for her to answer.
