I Had pre-post-potter depression back then. I MISS ALL OF IT. Remember how everyone hated the host and then when the studio tour was opened it was the same host and there was this collective fandom sigh. I NEED A TARDIS

I wasn't all fandom-y back then (aka- I hadn't discovered the internet yet) but there were just all these FEELINGS and GAAHH!!! I was born in 1997. I grew up with harry potter. before I could read, I listened to the audiobook-casettes of the philosopher's stone until I knew the book by heart. when I finally read it, I didn't read it, I just spoke the words while looking at the book. since then, I read all the books at least two times a year (until last year, when I made a pact with myself to read it only ONCE a year, which was a wise, but not superawesome decision.) THAT'S why I miss it. but yes, as her magicalness Joanne Rowling said, hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.
