Wait can you spill your claw machine secrets????
Oh yeah sure! I'll try to explain best I can but there's a lot of variables that go into it and each machine is different.
So, the first and most important thing to note, claw machines are absolutely rigged... In the sense they purposefully make it harder to win.
The claw grip changes, and it depends on who owns the machine, but they can do it in quite a few ways. The most common is to have the initial strength set high to give the impression winning is an easy task. Then they have specific settings and a sensor in the toy drop which calculates/regulates whether the machine is making the desired amount of money. Once the machine has made say, double what the prize is worth, the claw strength is set and holds on maximum until the sensor tells it that it has paid out. Then it repeats.
That being said, there are ways to win even if it has a weak grip.
First, some things to avoid.
Boxes. If there's a mystery box sitting flat they're damn near impossible and definitely not worth it. The only reliable way to win is to get the claw stuck in the box where it opens, or sometimes if it's at an angle.
Check the size of the claw. Some places will put toys that are just a little bit too big for the claw to wrap around but it's hard to tell. Same for the flip side, some places will have toys that are too small for claws letting them just fall right out.
It's not impossible to win a freshly restocked machine, but it can be more difficult with certain toys because they pack them down, so keep an eye on that.
Alright onto the actual tips!
One method is called raking, which is basically where you use the claw (before dropping it) to pull the toys closer or even into the toy drop. This works best with the toys they put up against the back after restocking.
Another trick that works is hooking the claw on something. This one definitely takes a bit of skill and maybe some luck, but if there's a tag that has a loop of plastic or just anything you can get the claw stuck into really, then it's very likely you can drag it over to the toy drop or get it in a spot that makes it easier to get on another play.
I debated putting this one on here because I've never actually played a machine where you can do this, but I do know it exists. So the way it goes is when you drop the claw, instead of letting it fall all the way and close as it normally would if you hit the button again it'll close then. It definitely takes skill to choose when's the right time, and not every machine does this, but it is something possible.
In the and the most important thing is to know when to quit because trust me, I know it's addicting but that toy that cost maybe a dollar is definitely not worth spending fifteen bucks on
And if you need a visualization like me, here's two videos showing how to do the first two!

Hater Ask Game
🤬 Free space for a random NEGATIVE hot take or anecdote about something that pissed you off!
I really hated the "with mama" trend because people were so boring and unoriginal with it. Like I feel like people were too attached to the specific words "with mama" and would put stupid nothing captions on otherwise super cute photos that I would have liked to reblog. Like once in a while there was something actually unique or funny but otherwise I just found it soooo annoying.
🥪 What is your least favorite food(s)?
Another food I hate is strawberries, but I really really REALLY hate artificial strawberry flavor. They are just nauseating to me. Like I can kinda deal with real strawberries, though I think they're gross, but artificial strawberry actually makes me feel sick if I imagine it
Yeah I’ll bite!
Mustard, raspberry (🥺🥴), cider, void, and lavender (lol)
the post
😭😭💗💗 I also very much enjoy your presence and want to be friends
