Thinking about my morning and evening routines.
Today, I’m thinking about morning and evening routines. I reread the section of Leo Babauta's book called, “The Power of Less,” and I've been thinking about the evening routine all wrong. I was trying to fit my nightly routine in too small of a time. I've been thinking that I can start my nightly routine at 9:00 PM and finish it at 9:30. I'm inserting stress into what is supposed to be an stress-free routine. This is why the evening routine should start when I get home. Leo suggests only selecting four to six activities in your morning and evening routine and keep it simple.
My evening routine:
1) Taking Beans for a walk.
2) Cooking and eating dinner.
3) Have a conversation with my wife?
4) Pack lunch and prep are clothes for tomorrow morning.
5) Study or read a little.
6) Brush teeth/floss.
My morning routine:
1) Exercise.
2) Shower.
3) Have tea.
4) Eat breakfast.
5) Write.
6) List my three Most Important Tasks.
Leave for work.
I’m going to work on this throughout the week. While trying to keep it simple. Keep the stress out of my routine.
