➡️ The Private Eye. La portada está mal. No puedes dibujar la cara de perfil si la capucha la dibujas en 3/4. Lo siento tenía que quitarme esto de encima. Me a gustado mucho. Me resistía a comprarlo por el formato (y si, un poco por la portada) pero todo el mundo decía que estaba muy bien y cuando tanta gente dice eso... Pues tenían razón. En un mundo donde nadie puede tener secretos todo el mundo lleva máscaras y oculta su identidad. Entonces ocurre un crimen y un detective ilegal tiene que descubrir lo que ocurre. Novela negra de manual en una distopía chunga con critica a la sociedad actual y la era de la información. Combo ganador. Muy interesante y entretenida hasta el final. Con algún giro interesante y algunas ideas bastante originales dentro del género. No es que me haya volado la cabeza pero se siente fresco y se agradece. Puntos en contra: el formato. En serio, fatal. No solo por que no me cabe en la estantería, que ya me jode, sino que al no ser especialmente fino si no lo lees completamente en horizontal las páginas van cayendo hacia abajo y no se cuanto aguantará el lomo. Course Post #8: Publicity VS Privacy

Brian K. Vaughan’s, Marcos Martin’s, and Muntsa Vicente’s The Private Eye, have created an intentional retro world in which internet no longer exists. In a capitalist society, they take the issue of privacy in a hyperbolic concept which deepens the idea of understanding identity. Currently, we are accustomed to publicizes our secrets and desires on social media. So, a ‘What If’ idea such as this one can either interest us or trigger our anxities of a possible future.

The Private Investigator’s grandfather and interactions with him alone convey the backstory. Throughout chapters one through five, the grandfather attempts to connect with devices that used to have WiFi, such as a smart phone or gaming console. In addition, he is not seen with a secret identity like the rest. Furthermore, what is intresting about the grandfather’s character is its an image of the millennium generation years from now.

This world can be made of an example in Peter Frase’s Four Futures: Life After Capitalism’s Chapter 2: Rentism: Hiearchy and Abundance.
