Denversaurus is a Nodosaurid that is very closely related to Edmontonia and, to be honest, until I see the work of Michael Burns (SVP 2015, which I could not attend) that supposedly show its validity as a distinct genus, I’m going to be skeptical that it should be separated out. It was found in the Lance Formation of South Dakota, as well as the Hell Creek Formation of South Dakota and Montana. It lived in the latest Cretaceous, in the Maastrichtian age about 68 to 66 million years ago. It was probably about 6 meters long and was covered in extensive osteoderms, including spikes, which probably served as protection against such predators as Tyrannosaurus.
