PRIME NUMB-uh. Wait. Nature, Heal, Arcana aaaand Endurance.
Nature Do you like using props/minis or do you prefer using a bare table?
Props and minis Fur Shure, or roll20 I guess for internet groups. It just makes combat a lot easier to visualize not in an imagination sense but in a mechanics sense. Saying “30 foot aura” doesnt mean much if I cant SEE the 6 squares. Not EVERYTHING need be mapped out (roleplay parts, for instance), but for combat? I, at least, need some visuals.
Heal - How has tabletop gaming helped you or one of your players?
Tabletop is totally good for mental health: escapism, good times, taking ones mind off of issues. Even 4 hours a week out of ones current hell is good for something. I’m not sure of personal stories I’d want to share, but I know at least 4 people (me included) who have benefited mentally from gamin’.
It’s also good for creativity and all that.
Arcana - What is your most crazy/insane/bizarre tabletop experience?
You’re trapped in a labyrinth, being ‘punished’ by a group you recently defeated. They’re hunting you, and the only way to escape is to kill them. You open a door, an endless field in front of you. Through the door, the exit disappears, and a larger than life being is in front of you. A humanoid made of stone and iron, standing thousands of humanoids tall.
SO YOU DO A KEGSTAND AND RUSH THAT FUCK.
But no seriously that was an awesome couple’a sessions. Just, Shadow of the Colossus in table top is fun. (Also JO Crystals)
Second is probably the time me and 3 others had to enact a death-play. That was great and weird.
Endurance - What’s your worst tabletop experience?
Bbbbuuuhhh…hm. I haven’t had an experience that was like, personally bad out of game, but for my characters, when Neeko died 3 times in 2 days and Illthid Rock was rough shit for Sei.
#(this is a joke please don't come into my inbox telling me not to fuck a computer) -ACTIVELY, LITERALLY HOLDS TONGUE-
!!!!!!!! PR0GRAM!!!!!
HEY BRO. WANT SOME TEARS IN REGARD TO THE EXTENDED THEME SONG? :D!
BRING EM THE FUCK ON
Hey, SF. What is your favorite Fallout game? Any particular favorite character?
The third is my favourite so far but my favourite character is the King from New Vegas. Because he’s just too boss for me to handle. Gotta love him.
xx SF
I'm following, because I'm always excited to see new folks coming into the Fallout fold. I really, really hope you enjoy!
Welcome! I hope I’m as entertaining as I like to think I am. Otherwise my close family and friends have a lot of explaining to do.
You seem to be a person who would enjoy lawful good characters in fiction. CAN'T IMAGINE WHERE I GOT THAT IDEA. So, with that thought in mind, I'd like to pick your brain for established characters that exist out and about in the universe that fit the tag, but aren't the omnipresent and oppressive 'Lawful Dickhead' that so, so, so, so, so, so, so many bad paladins seem to tap into. Bioware goodguys come to mind immediately, but otherwise... eeegh?
SWEET! AN EXCUSE TO TALK ABOUT LAWFUL GOOD CHARACTERS IN POP CULTURE! AND YOU DIDN’T USE ANON SO IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE i JUST FAKED AN ASK SO I CAN RAVE ABOUT IT!
Here we go folks, a list of great characters I consider Lawful Good, guaranteed to piss off just about everybody and incite countless arguments! Remember, just because you like them doesn’t mean they aren’t LG!
John Henry Irons, aka “Steel”, DC Comics
Aragorn, Lord of the Rings
Meteor Man, Meteor Man (1993 film)
Rupert Giles, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Seasons 1-3 anyways)
Mulan
Abbie Mills, Legend of Sleepy Hollow
Spock
Yoda
Stacker Pentecost, Pacific Rim
Kahlan Amnell, “Legend of the Seeker”
Data
Miss America/America Chavez, Marvel Comics
Captain Janeway, Star Trek: Voyager (I’d wager that’s she’s the closest to LG any starship captain has ever gotten)
Danger Mouse
Hermione Granger, Harry Potter Books 1&2 (I’ll admit she falls of the “Lawful” bandwagon, but that’s definitely where she starts)
Kendra, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Season 2)
Mr. T
Prince Caspian, from C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia
Mako Mori, Pacific Rim
Tenderheart Bear
Special note to try and avoid at least a little bit of the inevitable angry anon asks… “Lawful Good” is a determination of the GM. If I was the GM, I would have no problem allowing any of these characters to be LG-aligned. If you do, then that’s your right as a GM.
Arcade is sort of a no-win situation, unfortunately. I think you'll see him for a little bit, but yeah, no, he leaves your employ no matter what. It's weird, considering he's a major companion, but, yeah. :/
that’s so balls I didnt even do all the quests that he was involved in I know there’s one he’s not INVOLVED in but he has many opinions about- maybe there’s a mod…
