In connection with this post, I’ve been thinking about Sten (someone has to) and how things might pan out in my canon under the cut.
The Arishok wakes, somewhat shellshocked, back in the Fade next to a familiar lake shore. But the air is dead and the campfire is dead and his men are surely very very very dead—
—and next to the fire is his a crabby little dwarf failing miserably to start the flames back up. Visible, audible, sensible—but intangible. Also absolutely unchanged from the moment of her death.
Anyway, they go on walkabout for a long time, until Stenshok eventually does regain consciousness and Mina finds a more solid form: the Qunari whose faith has turned upon him, the ghost of a Warden returned through multiple impossibilities.
(I don’t know if they find Alistair in there. They might.)
