im not even that anon but i can understand their desire to go on anon, knowing how quick your followers are to label someone as a bigot without even thinking about the issue for a second, ie the past 2 months on this whole blog have been radicals from both sides but youve been a lot nicer to the extreme left

That anon was a bigot. They called me and my followers derogatory names.

I’m nicer to the left because the left doesn’t personally attack me or my followers. If the right was respectful I wouldn’t get into arguments, but they’re the ones invading my ask box and bullying me and my followers. I’m not the one starting these fights.

im a 16 y/o Liberal alberta kid, so hyped but I would've personally preferred a Liberal minority tbh bc it would force the two parties to work together. We had to vote in class as well and my class was dominated by liberals, other classes were more split between lib and ndp

I’ve felt the same. Extreme-right parties have begun to stir more than they were supposed to. The problem isn’t merely economic (many of Europe’s countries are in a frail state as it is), it’s social and religious as well. Many citizens are willing to take in the refugees with open arms. Many others are extremely wary because a) it involves investment of money we don’t really have [ or will necessarily imply the deviation of funds from one place to the other, AKA, the citizens’ rights lessen in order to accommodate the ‘outsiders’ -- some people don’t see this as a humanitarian necessity, but as an attack to what they’re entitled to ] and b) the religious/cultural issues WILL be a factor. We can’t deny the risk of infiltration by extremist members, especially given that the number of adult males entering the EU vastly outweighs that of women and children (at least it did in some countries)...which is an odd statistic to have. 

You just get to a point where you don’t know what to think of the whole thing. It’s worrisome to say the least; I think the first and foremost issue will be the cultural clashes. Nobody really wants to have to adapt anything to the other’s lifestyle -- we don’t want our rights or freedom of expression lessened and they don’t want to have impositions or restrictions to their faith. There’s already been some headaches in Germany over this, in a school.

tbh im kind of concerned by the severe lack of refugee talk on here too, goes to show how American-oriented everyone on this website is. The only think I've seen so far was bc of Canadian politics

true enough. I actually tend to stay away from political issues and such here on tumblr -- I do enough of those IRL as it is -- but this situation troubles me. And, as a european citizen, it concerns me. More than a political issue, it’s a humanitarian situation that continues to escalate, and I have a feeling things won’t go well down the road. If it gets to a point where war breaks out here, I feel like a lot of people won’t even know what is happening.

haha I actually vehemently hate the cold & snow, I only like it when it gets us off school, so in this case hell yeaaahhh. But otherwise I'm moving to a warmer place as soon as I graduate
