Understand The Real Design
Through the years, I've been searching for the true meaning of love. What is true and real love? There's a love that you feel lost when you're in it. Following blogs of some of Christian leaders I look up to, I realized, we all have the need to be loved and to love.
But the question still remained..what is the real design of love?
It is..
THE LOVE THAT REACHES US FROM THEN 'TIL TODAY.
Though we search for the meaning of love in the world or in other people, like me, these will never love us back the way we wanted to be loved -- unconditionally. But Jesus Christ demonstrated the real, passionate, unconditional love from before until now: when He died the death we deserve because of our sins, canceled death, was raised back to life to give us eternity, because HE JUST LOVES YOU AND ME SO MUCH FOREVER.
THINK ABOUT THIS: why would Jesus give eternal life up for someone like me and you? It is because He wants to love us forever! Even before the world was created, through thick and thin, HE IS THINKING ABOUT US. I DARE YOU TO search for that kind of love in the world. Unfailing, unconditional, even though we still fail, still chose to love us because He is love. What a good reason to dance in the rhythm of His love?
The only thing that matters now is the Love of Jesus for you. The rest means nothing.
THE LOVE THAT STUBBORNLY NEVER LETS GO OF US.
Once this love finds you, it just never lets go of you. If there's one trait of Jesus' love, it is STUBBORN. Though we try to run away, it just keeps on having its way to find us. Though we try to remove it because we think we're undeserving or unworthy of it, it just stubbornly keeps you worthy of it.
Through the high and hype, He is there. Through the low and downs, He is there. Through the light and dark, He is there. Let go of loving the world and yourself, and let Him never let go of you keeping you at the center of His love.
Now, where else would you rather be?
THE LOVE THAT JUST BRINGS US TO SURRENDER TO OUR KNEES.
Let me break a mindset. Surrender is not a sign of defeat, but of victory. Why? Imagine watching an action film for the 2nd or 3rd time and then the main protagonist won his fight against the antagonists. Wouldn't you be thinking that, "hey this guy's already won it. I know he will and trust him for it", because you've seen or get spoiled about it?
In Jesus' life victory story, IT'S OKAY TO GET SPOILED! Why? Because knowing that the real life battle has been won at the end, will make us trust Him in the journey 'til that end. He just loves us so much that He won it for you and me. Wouldn't you surrender?
Let me tell you the secret of the FREE FALL. It's just simply letting go of the grip on the steer, and letting the real Driver in charge of the journey. It's simply giving the real Architect the pens and blueprint of our lives. When life seems right or not, leaving you at the edge, fall into grace -- the power for us to say no to compromise and ungodliness.
THE LOVE THAT THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW.
Our response? This: LET THE WORLD KNOW ABOUT IT. God designed the world to be a paradise where everybody is intimately close to God -- like a father to his children. This is love’s design. But the world has offered us deceiving good things that made us turn away from God. It may hurt, but that is the current picture.
That's why Jesus summarized the 10 commandments into 2: love God, and love everybody else, regardless of the circumstance. The world is just so broken now. Let the world know about Jesus' pursuit: you and me. Like a firework rising up, let this real design of love arise! Let hearts explode in love! Let freedom reign!
Maybe, you, reader are like me before searching the world for the true meaning of love. Maybe you felt and asked God "why wouldn't somebody like me?" or "why am I not appreciated and regarded by people around me?". Reader, you are LOVED BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN IMAGINE. There is a God who is passionately loving you and pursuing you. The world will throw you lies, but this GOD THROWS YOU HIS LOVE, ATTENTION AND AFFECTION. This is now the time to get reconciled with Him. He is freely accepting you today as His own, as His child. If you wanted and decided to be close to Him and to accept His love for you, join me in this prayer:
Prayer: My dear heavenly Father, I am sorry for chasing the world more than You. I am sorry for doing what is not right in your eyes. Jesus, I accept You wholly as my Lord and Savior. Help me to turn my back around the world, say no to it, and say YES TO YOU. I acknowledge that by grace through faith, You have saved me. You are the only One who loves me beyond more than what I can imagine. Thank You for giving Your life up for me. Thank You for passionately putting me in your affection and attention. Help me to love you every single day, and love the people around me. Teach me Your heart. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
