Just a short vacation

Hi, everyone who follows me on Tumblr and/or my stories on FFnet!

I’m leaving on a short vacation and will be back Friday but I’m forcing myself to leave my laptop behind so I won’t be a hermit at my grandma’s house. This means that I will post/reblog absolutely nothing for a few days and will be unable to answer any asks or prompts I get. I’m bringing my writing journals, though, so hopefully I’ll write some for The Fifth Mutant and/or Though She Be But Little.

Also, I’m going to try to use Tumblr a bit more to alert you guys of chapters I’m working on for my two major works. (I’m sorry but Broken Day is at a standstill but I hope to work on it at some point.)

So:

TFM is Chapter 23 (I have yet to come up with a title I like) and focusses on some important choices Yuki has to make.

TSBBL is Chapter 20: Birds of a Feather (tentatively) and is for ThatOneBlondeNerd. Thank you for the prompt, hon! It’s going to be a ride, for sure!

Hey! For the Fic Asks, I'm curious about 14, 19 and 21.

14. a fic you didn’t expect to write: So I'm no stranger to writing smut fic, but there was a certain Star Wars character I really didn't think I was gonna write for. He was a request, though, and at the time there was only one other Explicit fic with him in it (and it wasn't even him x reader, it was him x someone else), so I just. I had to. Turns out he's not really popular. That fic is three months old and doesn't even have 400 hits yet. As it happens, I don't really enjoy writing smut as much as I like angst and fluff.

19. any new fics to start next year: I don't have any specific plans, but I do wanna try to write something for Arcane at least once, because Silco makes my brain go "hhhhhhhhhh content,,,," Also it's a guarantee that I'll be consumed by a fiery need to write for The Bad Batch again once season two comes out.

21. most memorable comment/review: I can't say there was one that stood out to me while I was writing my Crosshair AU series, not because none of them were memorable, but because of the ridiculous surge of dopamine coursing through my body every time I got a comment notification. I didn't stop smiling for days after I finished Episode 1. Seriously, I can't stress how grateful I was for every comment and kudos I got for that series.

Happy Storyteller Saturday!! What is one of your favourite things to work on for world-building? ~TheRedScreech

For world-building, god, it’s got to be the lore! 

I like to add a touch of the supernatural in there, keep it interesting, so I like adding some unexplainable elements, and why they’re unexplainable. 

For example, in violent children don’t need a home, Poison ends up in a house within a perfect city that’s at least a hundred years old, from before the wars, and it takes him exactly where he needs to go. 

Or, there’s a border of moonflowers growing all along the border of Zone Five - and Zones aren’t actually bordered, there’s just a sign here or there.
