   Daisy had long ago perfected the art of being able to tell when a female wolf is with pups. Mostly by the smell, but also by the glow. And this girl is definitely carrying. Multiples, if Daisy’s nose is correct. It’s rarely wrong on that front.

   And of course, you can take the wolf out of her pack but you couldn’t take the pack mentality out of the girl. Sitting down across from the wolf she doesn’t know, she offers out half of her roast beef sandwich.

   “When are you due?”

Daisy had just been through a very long lunch shift at the restaurant and was in a terrible mood. She just wanted to go home and hide somewhere away from noise and people for a little while. But of course, she had to pick up Jackson and Wesley from school, as well of some of her least favorite cousins. Like Harrison. Harrison was a giant bully, and a jerk, and the entire family basically ignored it. He wasn't even an alpha spirit, just a straight up beta. He had always irked Daisy.

Like now. 

She could hear his voice from around the building, harassing some girl about going out with him. Daisy turned the corner and saw who he was attempting to bully into going on a date with him and her blood boiled.

"Hey!"
