I immediately felt uncomfortable. As I stood at the empty register waiting to order, I could feel the eyes of a group of men behind me. It only lasted 5 minutes but I felt unsafe and wanted to hide. I didn't want them to stare at me but I knew they were because I was wearing shorts and exposing my legs. • WHY. Why can't I wear what I want and not be afraid of what people think of me? Why do I constantly feel the need to cover up and be uncomfortable, hot and sweaty because I do not want people to stare as I walk? • I'm sharing my story because as the weather gets warmer, you are allowed to wear whatever the hell you want. You dress for you and no one else. • #theripple
