I’m in Love: Five Movie Characters I’d Date
Trying to find a meaningful relationship these days is getting harder and harder. That’s why I turn to movies to try and find a type of girl I would love to date - not being picky at all.
1. Rachel Wagner (Katie Holmes)
FILM: Disturbing Behaviour (1998)
SUMMARY: She doesn’t have many friends and she dresses like a goth, at least halfway to being a goth. She obviously would be into horror flicks and hard rock music - no doubt. But she would be different to most girls I’ve dated and she has this innocence about her. I’m not saying the relationship would last but it would certainly be interesting and never boring.
2. Lauren Hynde (Shannyn Sossamon)
FILM: The Rules of Attraction (2002)
SUMMARY: This was the movie I instantly fell in love with Shannyn Sossamon. Her portrayal of Lauren was a match made in Heaven. Let’s see, she’s very innocent - she’s a virgin and saving herself for the right man, which I 100% respect. She’s looking for love, but in the movie probably looking in the wrong direction but still looking and her tomboy fashion is rad.
If she could only quit her drug habit though.
3. Kelly Radner (Rose Byrne)
FILM: Bad Neighbours (2014)
SUMMARY: She’s the hippest mum in movies. She’s smart, funny and witty and just wants to have a good time, again. And then there’s the Australian accent if that’s not a turn on I don’t know what is.
Seriously, dump Seth Rogen though.
4. Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)
FILM: Scott Pilgrim vs the World (2010)
SUMMARY: Yes I know she has a bad track record with relationships but she’s so damn cute and that hairstyle, the ever-changing hair colour change. But she does have her principals though. She refused to sleep with Scott Pilgrim on the first date which I admire.
But she needs to stick with a guy or girl because her track record is kind of ridiculous.
5. Irene (Carey Mulligan)
FILM: Drive (2011)
SUMMARY: She’s the sweetest and nicest girl you’ll ever meet. Her quiet nature and spaced out look tells a thousand stories - she’s been heartbroken and let down, it shows. Maybe she is looking for the night in shining armor, even if her husband is in jail. And that’s the problem.
She’s sweet and beautiful but she met the wrong guy and had a child very early.
6. Alex (Rose Byrne)
FILM: Two Hands (1999)
SUMMARY: She’s so beautiful, she’s sexy, she’s creative, has the best laugh and that Aussie accent. Any guy would fall for her, a decent guy would love her.
