the final day, the 29th! i chose to do reign, and how i got this idea was by someone saying reign of terror. so, enjoy!

the king has been trying to help, he really has. but, considering he can barely understand anything anyone is saying, has to use his hammer to support himself, and is nearly starving... the most he's been able to do is "supervise" Meta Knight's own instructions for the dees.

below is the same picture, but without the thing that took me maybe 1 or 2 weeks to finish coloring.

and on the note of my previous posts, here is my very recent art.

i will try not to info dump as hard. no promises.

so, i made an eye color chart because i've had thoughts. blue eyes is his normal, red eyes is possessed, and purple happened when an incident occurred that seemed to make the problem beast... snap.

after the incident, Dedede has finally been able to return to the others... but he's still not quite all there. from day to day, his mind seems to fluctuates between closer to normal, and closer to another beast. due to this, he spends his days near the arena, with Meta putting himself in charge of keeping the king under control on the bad days.

of course, that ranges. is he acting like he'll devour the first thing he sees, or is he acting like there's something trying to tear open his skull to get to his brain. if only he could share his thoughts...

after the incident, Bandee has been... slowly managing to recover. they were there too after all {i prefer to play with other people because the 2 player cutscenes are everything to me.} and they were the one that took the scarlet feathers that were in the king's coat and disposed of them.

they're the only one that seems to know what happened, but the others have been making guesses considering their spear is broken and they've been clinging to the king or staying by Kirby's side most days...

as for Kirby themselves...

they'd already been suffering small damages that they said they'd take care of... not out loud of course, lest someone actually hold them responsible for that.

first it was when they found the others, then it was once they saved the waddle dees, then when they found Elfilin again... they never managed to add another thing to that list, as they'd worn themselves out, they moved too slow to escape, and so they were caught.

but they were returned... along with a good few more waddle dees, and the problem beast himself... when he isn't prowling around what he deemed his territory {the entirety of waddle dee town and a good distance in all directions} he'd either be by the arena with Meta, maybe with Bandee clinging to him..

or he'd be at Kirby's bed, watching their chest rise and fall, as they continue sleeping. bruised, hurt, and alone with the dreams.

...

of course, just because Kirby was brought to the forbidden lands doesn't mean they saved Elfilin.

the only one that has ever managed to save anyone.. save, not just mindlessly kill or get rid of a pest... is out of commission.

so he'll hold out. for as long as he can, because he is the only one that can even begin to know what is searching for them.

so if Kirby can't, someone has to. even if he's already pressed to the very edge. even if he tips off, he is clinging on for their sake. for their sake, and their sake alone.

the prompt i wanted to do for the 27th was bouquet, so i have this!

... i technically drew it on its side, and had to flip it around to post it- all my stuff for this week has been drawn in the same file.
