I, too, don't see Paxton and Devi working out. I know we've seen the softer side of Paxton, but something will break them up. I'm going to guess that it might be Paxtom coining "crazy Devi." Do you agree? How do you think it will go down?

Honestly I 100% see that being a dealbreaker for Devi and causing a huge fissure in their relationship, but it would probably come after a bunch of little other things, like idk how Paxton would integrate with his friend group (Eleanor and Fabiola and Aneesa and let's be real probably Ben) and also with her family too. I feel like for Devi (and this is a cultural thing too) once you're her significant other, you're a part of her entire life and I don't think Paxton has had that opportunity yet to SEE entirely who she is. It'll definitely be interesting, and I think they'll just realize they have different wants and needs in the relationship and in life and that they don't have *the feelings* they thought they should have? Like idk from my perspective Devi will just realize she doesn't feel as passionately about Paxton as she thought she did and Paxton will realize he just doesn't understand and doesn't know how to work with some parts of Devi and give her what she needs. I honestly don't even think they'll be together a whole season haha but I have no idea how it'll pan out, they are a whole bunch of ways! Curious to know what yall think!

that’s what i’m gonna do, lol. along with living single and maybe starting a different world. the first time i watched fma i burned through it in like a week or something ridiculous like that, and this time i want to savor it.

Yeah, specifically W (although this isn’t the first or last time my dash has been lit up by a drama that I’m not watching). I plan to watch it because Han Hyo Joo is awesome and it has my fave bodyguard, plus my beloved Cheekbones Ahjussi.

But I don’t have time now to watch the stuff I really, really like right much less start something new. Live-watching trendy dramas and my schedule just seem to never work out.

Entertainer, with Ji Sung.

It’s not... very... good. I mean, I didn’t have high hopes walking into it, and it’s not expressly terrible, it’s just... not good. This writer has disappointed me previously so I’m not surprised there, but I am surprised that the directing feels “off,” too. It also doesn’t help that I still don’t, no-way no-how, buy Minhyuk as a brooding high school student, especially one younger than Hyeri. I like them both independently, but together there’s just no chemistry, and there’s no chemistry with her and Ji Sung. I don’t know what’s going on with that because, again, I’ve liked her in previous works, but maybe she’s just not a strong enough actress to rise above a mediocre script and a director who’s just phoning it in, apparently.

Why is why, when I realized I was having a hard time forcing myself to pay attention, I was going to give up on the show and put it in the “dropped” bin, I was pretty much bowled over when Lee Tae Sun arrived and his character suddenly made me believe in everything again.

I had been expecting him to play a role similar to himself -- a punk rocker with the crazy outfits. I thought he had been cast to lend an air of authenticity to the drama’s show. But apparently the dude can act, because he’s nothing like his punk rocker frontman self (well, at least as far as I can tell, since I’ve only watched performances and don’t know him personally, y’know?). So now, in my mind, this is a story about a single dad who had a kid when he was super young, and now is ready to break free from the mediocrity of just surviving on the one talent he has -- music -- and become something that he won’t be ashamed of any more, to make his son proud.

Also all the while smiling like giant beams of sunshine.

(Hence all the spam earlier this morning, because I was idly watching while doing other chores and wanted a drama I knew I didn’t have to play close attention to, then all of a sudden I’m trying to figure out if I can squeeze in the latest ep before I go to work. All because of this indie punk rocker who is a better actor than most of the people on this show.)
