It’s #blackhistorymonth right? Here’s a #blackhistorymoment. I attended this event the Sunday before last that led many of us to get closer to a higher power right? Well I performed at this said event and although we didn’t speak to each other at the event she found me here on IG and expressed her love for the poem I shared. Fast forward to the night of the super blood moon, a night where I had a bonfire to release any energy we didn’t want to carry. It was at my home. The space we have is a safe space for people to be themselves so a group of us got to know each other a little bit better. That led me to find out that she’s a biomedical engineer. That’s dope to me. But anyways the super moon bonfire brought us closer in a sense. I performed another poem. This time from #theseductionofyourmental Books. Last night she came thru to the meal prep party. Made tacos, which is dope cuz I love tacos and I can save on spending money for taco Tuesday lol. She also copped two of @chelleamber and I’s books.
