i love gentle giant maine and cat person maine. i also read a fic where wash had asthma and maine was one of the only people to really notice when he was having an asthma attack and calm him down so he didnt die or anything and so i adopted that into my headcanons. 

basically any headcanon where maine is not a big, tough, scary motherfucker, but instead a big, tough, dorky and gentle nerd.
