@thesilvermoonrays asks: "is there more to life than this?"
"Love," Terra answered without hesitation. It had been a difficult day, one of many, and they had had to fight, a thankless fight too because humans really didn't like demons or demon-ish people with magic, but then the town priestess had still allowed them to stay the night if they liked, to share dinner and sleep and then leave in the morning, so that did feel like a belated thank you. "And kindness," she added, and without a second thought, she reached out to touch a lock of Inuyasha's silver hair, the way she had seen a man do to a long-haired woman and that she had thought was a symbol of affection. Even if she was still convinced she had no place in this world, in the end, it didn't matter, because she was happy anyway. "Like when you chose to save me and let me come with you. That's also life. And... these really nice onigiri... and the stars are really pretty tonight," she continued, looking up at the sky, "And this grass, which smells nice. And there are the million questions I still want to ask you about everything... and the foods I haven't tried yet. And the places we haven't seen. That's life. That's more than fighting. Right?"
