Breed Out the Ugly Challenge

The main goal of this challenge is to start with a founder that is as ugly as CAS will allow (aka does not meet supposed “traditional beauty standards”, think disproportionate features, and generally unpleasant/unusual in appearance), and create an heir that is ‘normal looking’.

Once you’re in CAS you will be able to go wild with the detailing of your Sims “beauty”. The idea here is to pull, pinch, stretch and create the most unattractive Sim you can. Although, as with any good The Sims challenge, there are some rules.

Challenge Rules:

1. CAS editing

No editing of offspring’s features in CAS, after creation of founder.

No editing of spouses’ features in CAS, after creation of founder.

No editing of founder’s features in CAS, after creation of founder.

No plastic surgery mods.

You can’t peek at what a child is going to look like when they are older in CAS.

2. Relationships

Your founder and heirs MUST marry (or partner/reproduce with) either pre-made Sims, townies, or descendants of pre-made Sims and townies. You cannot create them a partner in CAS, or download a partner from the gallery. Also, no Sims created for catering, butlers, etc. (This rule can be ignored or altered (e.g. only townies) to make the goal more or less challenging.)

Your founder can marry or remain single, and they can have all their children either with the same partner or with multiple partners.

If your founder marries, they must not change their surname and their spouse must take your founder’s surname. Any children born must have the founder’s surname.

3. Simoleons - no cheating!

No money cheats allowed.

Your founder/heir can start with the default $20,000 simoleons, and can get any job.

Only the current main founder/heir or their spouse can have a job at a time, not both.

4. Ageing & Lifespan

You cannot age up children before their birthday.

Normal lifespan and aging on for played household.

5. Biology & Fertility

No fertility reward trait or lot trait, and no mods to increase likelihood of a multiple birth.

No adopted heirs, the next generation must be a biological child.

If your founder or current heir dies with no children, the challenge ends and you have to start over.

Heir must be the oldest biological child.  (This rule can be ignored or altered (e.g. youngest child) to make the goal more or less challenging.)

6. Occults - only the following are allowed as founder/heir:

Sim

Alien - offspring from alien abductions are eligible to be heir.

Vampire

Mermaid

Spellcaster

7. Reproduction

Maximum three children.  (This rule can be ignored to make the goal more or less challenging.)

No influencing the gender of babies while a sim is pregnant, including no mod ultrasounds or predictions.

If your founder or heir is male, or not able to get pregnant, you will need to move any ‘baby mamma’s’ into the home until baby is born, then you can choose whether to move her out or not. 

8. Personality, Traits, Aspirations, etc.

Randomly generated baby names - use in-game name randomiser ONCE, and whatever name it chooses, the baby gets that name.

9. Gameplay

Heir cannot move away from original lot.

Make sure you have the fill empty houses feature on so that Sims will randomly generate and live in your world.

This challenge has been successfully completed once you get a normal looking heir. Alternatively, you can follow the Legacy Challenge rules, and breed out the ugly over 10 generations.

Seven Deadly Sin Challenge CAS to Gameplay - The Sims 4 (Unfinished!)

Hey, I’m Julia, and if you don’t play the Sims, you probably have no idea what this is about. But, for those of you who do know of the Sims, here is a brand new challenge, converted from a CAS version to an actual gameplay version! Enjoy!

Generation 1: Pride

- Each heir must have the last name of the assigned sin, (ex: Aria Pride, Carol Gluttony)

- Must have the aspiration Mansion Baron, and complete at least the first two stages of it.

- Must have the traits: Materialistic, Snob, and Self-Assured.

-Spouse needs to have the opposite traits as the heir, (Spouse of Pride traits: Kleptomaniac, Good, and Perfectionist.)

- Must have only one child, who has to take care of itself.

- Career must be: Business, with very low performance.

- Next heir (child) must have low relationship with mother, and high relationship with father
