basically my friends and i (a 3 person group) have to make a short film while grabbing something from the SDG goals (sustainable development goals of the UN)

our minimum runtime should be 1 minute per group member, but as an ambitious group (that we are paying the Price for considering we are in the production part where we only had less than 3 months to finish animating and coloring Everything...) doubled that runtime to a 6 minute short film :,)

so our thesis is basically making a short film from scratch all the way from thinking of names for our characters aaaaaalll the way to compositing and post prod editing.....

then after! we have to make an Entire 5 Chapter Research Paper talking about how the SDG goal is relevant to our short film (also talking about the animation process i think)!!!!!!!! : D yay or whatever

Our capstone project/thesis takes up 2 whole years! ! !

as for the concept/plot/characters im afraid we cant show that yet but im proud of what my friends and i have straggled together, we might post it on youtube once we graduate though!

Y’all I just finished The Never-Ending Sacrifice by Una McCormack, and it was actually incredible?! Required reading for DS9 fans tbh. I wish I could have included it in my thesis because it does such a wonderful job at thinking about empire through science fiction. However, it is not that g-dawful Cardassian epic—it’s about what happens to Proka Rugal after he gets sent to Cardassia with his biological father. It was fantastic. I loved it so much.

hello! i am about to embark on a tiny marathon thesis writing session (which i’m forced into by my own masterful procrastination) and i’ve noticed it helps me get shit done if i throw my intention to do so at a digital wall, so. might liveblog (livecomplain) about it a little, i guess.

i don’t have a word goal, i don’t have a minimum number of hours i want to work, i just need to summarize 5040 words of my own messy notes into a readable draft of a chapter. this is doable. it should be doable. it’s probably doable. i’ll see pretty soon, if i don’t flinch and find an excuse to go do something else again. (which i can’t, because i’m meeting my thesis supervisor tomorrow and i need to have. at least one thing to show him. ew.)

so i just sent my thesis’s introduction to my advisor. i really look forward his feedback but i am a bit worried bc i am not really satisfied with it. honestly, i blame it at least a little on the fact that we didn’t get the methodology workshop we were supposed to have. now, it’s lunch time !

Goodmorging dear people on tumblr. It’s Monday, so a new week has started with new opportunities. I set my alarm quite early but stayed way too long in bed. Oh well, I’ve made a outlay for the introduction to my thesis and been writing an alinea. So, I’ve already been somewhat productive :p Later today I’ll be going to uni. I’ve started a new habit of walking from the trainstation to the campus. It’s a half an hour walk, which is good for the mind and body and I avoid public transportation in these times of a pandemic. But first, lunch!

06.11.2020 // A Good Day

Oi! I had a productive and good day so far. It’s almost 15:00u (3PM) so the day isn’t over yet! This morning I had a lecture and a seminar. Before that I read an article. The lecture was really interesting, just as the seminar. At lunch I watched the news and went for a walk. That was really refreshing🌿 It’s very sunny today, cold but sunny. Very autumnal. I just made a chai-cappuccino-ish drink. Turned out quite alright hahaha. And now I’m going to start writing the introduction for my thesis until diner and then weekend! Or the illusion of weekend :’). Ah, and tonight I’m going to participate in an online pub quiz of which I’m very excited!! Have a good day, everyone✨
