five months before the end of my contract, my employer finally decides that i need to do a health check... the one you are supposed to do when you are first employed ig... i have just been working there for five years but it's never too late

spent the semester telling students they'll get bad grades for not being active in class. not doing the readings. not doing the exercise. not asking questions. even the prof warned them that they weren't doing enough.

gave bad grades to many of them bc they were, in fact, completely passive in class. students are now complaining that i gave them bad grades. like, are you really surprised?

honnêtement, ça fait tellement longtemps que je n'habite plus l'île et j'y retourne de moins en moins souvent. je ne suis pas certaine d'avoir particulièrement le sentiment d'être corse. je suis attachée à l'endroit, parce que c'est là que j'ai grandi et qu'habite ma famille, mais pas au point où je considère que ça serait constitutif de mon identité.
